Ray Floyd advice I found great.

That guy could drive like nobody's blidness!!!!

Ray has kind of a weird swing. Not like these day's pros...

How does he hit the drive farther? -- basically, he just takes a bigger shoulder turn.

Obvious. Easy to do.
He never swings harder, ever.

Jack Pearsall loves this truth...But I havent taken it for a test drive.

Any insights to share on this epiphany would be welcomed. thanks.

i like what he says, i think he says something like turn faster, rather than hit harder , which is good advice

Good simple advice, turning the shoulders creates more torque and potentially more speed, too many people get quick, pick the club up with their hands and get too steep instead of turning behind it.

No doubt his swing looks a little awkward because of how he is built....ever notice that people who are built like athletes and are graceful in general have nice looking swings,and guys who are short, pudgy and not as attractive in general tend to have funny looking swings? Not to say one is more effective than the other, just more aesthetically pleasing.

Compare Ray Floyd, Craig Stadler and Lee Trevino's swing to Sam Sneed, Ernie Els or Fred Couples, all are great swings the latter 3 just look prettier.

The platinum bomber loves this truth too. When the platinum bombers typical 225 shot in the right rough simply wont do on a 585 yard par 5 into the wind the platinum bomber turns that left shoulder over his right foot and the platinum bomber cannons his titleist dt wound with his wilson killer whale driver out there about 240-245. Of course this leaves the platinum bomber a healthy second shot too so the platinum bomber heeds this advice with his 3 metal layup and carooms his dt wound out there for his 2nd shot as well.

Simple advice from Raymond Floyd, well heeded by the platinum bomber.

I remember reading that as well. Funny that Johnny Miller, who is 6'2" and has a 30" sleeve length (!!!) has a conventional looking swing.

That whole build thing is so true. Im 6'5" and skinny and i always get comments on how my swing visually looks good. Ive seen a couple videos of my swing and I would definitely say it looks better than it is.

I get this all the time. People will say what a good swing i have just looking at it, but slow it down and the big time flaws show up. I like Floyd's swing. The more you slow it down the better it gets. He gets the club on plane coming down to a great impact position. Great golf swing.

The platinum bomber doesn't understand it either. Earlier today the platinum bomber was walking the line at the range and he saw JP doing the same thing down at the other end.

The platinum bomber made eye contact with JP and nodded his head, JP nodded back, we bonded as gentlemen today, as two gentlemen walking the line.
