Is the Hibore fwy wood really square?

I demoed one today out on the course and the few times i hit it it went left and i was cutting the ball for the most part all day and it looked pretty closed to me. Anybody know the facts??

I am so sick and tired of people talking about clubs and their "left" tendencies. I have an off the rack Hi-Bore 3 wood with a VS-Proto 95X and it is freaking money.

Have any of you ever stopped and wondered if it's your golf swing making the ball move a certain way?

Sorry, I am fed up.

Nothing special, off the rack. I just made sure to look at all they had & picked one that suited my eye, like I do all my woods & hybrids. I agree with the above post about the Hi-Bore being money, because it's the BEST fw I've tried in quite awhile. Now, maybe not quite as "harsh" as above about the whole left thing, because most of the fw & hybrids out today are WAY upright in their lie angle. I have to be pickie about which I put in play--most do infact go left for me, because of their upright lie.

Just my opinion--the Hi-Bore fw's are VERY good

I couldn't agree more.

Do you guys think it is worth the upgrade to switch from my launcher to the hibore. I got the chance to hit it a couple of times this fall when one of the kids on the golf team that I coached picked one up, but I didn't get enough time with it to really get a feel for it.

OK now I can see a FW being too upright causing a left miss but the whole "I need clubs to be extreme toe weighted and cranked 7º open" makes me want to puke. Fix your swing.

The Hi-Bore is HOT and it wants to go straight. That's it.

No Sam, you're so good you can hit a Coke bottle tied to a broom handle 220 with a little draw. :cheesy:

i am very aware that it could be my swing but after using this club yesterday and consistently cutting the ball with solid shots, this club tended to go left and it just looked like it might be closed. I understand what you mean about ppl blaming clubs but i do work on my swing and game alot and usually have a consistent shot pattern and this club seemed to deviate from this pattern all day.

i think somebody touched on this but i do think that this club's, for me, tendency is to go left because it is so upright and it naturally sets up with the toe a lil in the air for me therefore creating a left shot

Hey Drew, Did you just three putt, get a grip. This is an open forum to share with all. Maybe his swing is a little over the top and the close face creates a pull, no sweat. I'm mostly just a butt hole, to be quite honest. Sorry. I didn't mean to point out any person's specific swing flaws - believe me I have my share.

I simply went into "commentary" or "rant" mode.

Back to topic.... YES, the Hi-Bore FW is as square as my head and it will go both left and right depending on how one goes after the ball. It is a very neutral setup. I draw my comparison with the Adams "Tour Prototype" Retail 3070 FW which is a very toe weighted fade biased club. I couldn't turn that thing over with DMBOAK's swing.
