Which new irons should I buy?

712 cb vs mb

Ill keep it simple. Im a good player currently playing mp-32 irons w rifle flighted (not px) and I am switching to Titleist. I am trying to decide between the mb and cb. Are the mb less forgiving than the mp-32s? Are the cb too bulky compared to the mp-32s?

Also, how do the KBS tour/c-taper shafts compare to the rifles and which flex should I get if I fly my seven iron 175 yds?

i brought my MP 14 and 57 5 irons to the shop with me and hit them into the monitor with the 710 CB 6 iron (only demo they had) and i was actually carrying the 710 6 iron 10-20 yards further than my 5 irons. didn't plan on comparing them to other irons...just brought them to see the distance gap in the two & to see if the monitor was accurate, and stumbled across the 710. i was carrying my MP 57 5i 185, the MP 14 about 170, and the 710 6i about 200! the fact that the Titleist had better feel to me (most would disagree) was an added bonus.

the debate i'm having is whether to buy a full set of CB's, or CB/MB combo.

can't comment on the shafts though as i'm a DG guy all the way.

CB has a slightly (and i mean slightly) thicker topline at address...but both are small/thin and far from bulky. both are definitely a "players iron" and look amazing at address (imo).

any cavity back will be a little more forgiving than a blade/muscle back...so the CB's will obviously be a little more forgiving than the MB's. the only thing i can't comment on is the long iron comparison since i've never hit an MB long iron.

bring a club or two of your own to a golf shop with a monitor (to check for accuracy) and try them both for yourself. see which ones work best for you! if you're a very good and consistent ball striker that has no problem hitting the center of the face, i would say a full set of MB's is the way to go.
