Just following up with the Northwest WRX tournament idea, I'mtrying to get an idea of how many people would be able to make it so we can getsome accurate numbers. Let me know if you can make it, the tournament will takeplace at The Home Course on Saturday, March 24^th. (Please don't yell at me for picking this date, if you can't make it that's fine, but I had to pick a date as nobodyhas one that is set in stone, thanks.) The cost will be about $55 (most likelyless) $40 for greens fees +$15 for side games (long drive, closest to pin, longestputt). Let me know if you can make it, we'd love to have you!

I'll be calling The home course today and asking about group rates for around 11 which is the time we will be teeing off. Do I ask to book 6 tee times? 6 tee times x 4 players per group +24 players? Is 24 a good number?

I am 85% in......have some buddies playing Salish Cliffs both days that weekend, so it makes sense to be down that way. My only issue is possible work that day.

Mack, some simple suggestions for side games.

KP's.........must be inside the flag stick. This way, no need for measuring tapes. All players inside the flag split the pot.
Skins......Net only. This way everyone has a chance at a skin and has something to play for even if they are having a bad day.
Deuce Pot......take away KP's if you do this and make it payouts to anyone that makes a Deuce.

Long Drive, Long Putt...IMHO are not the best way to go.

We can use a score sheet to list the players hole by hole and would make Skins pretty easy to figure out and of course, I would offer my help. Just need a score sheet and some red and black felt pens.


I have 20 Nike Tour D Two Packs that I can donate towards tee prizes. I also can donate my signed Camillo RBZ hat as a prize..low net maybe.

In the original email we must have had over 60 people interested in playing.....where are all of them?

arrgh! Well I though my shoulder rehab was going nicely except for a couple key motions. Doc said today that the rotator is indeed torn and will have to go under the knife. If all goes well and smoothly I am anticipating being able to play mid July.

Good point.....Callaway system is my best answer or assign a handicap.

Side games can still be KP's or KP's inside the flag stick only. Long drive is like no handicaps........some do not have a chance at winning IMHO. Long putter is pretty 9 hole league night stuff to me, but heck........I was only making suggestions, not telling Mack what to do.

Personally, based on your great point.......KP's inside the flag would be it........$10 per man no options. Optional would be Gross skins $10 per man.

I did, that was based on the thought that we would have 60+ players. I can still try for some Srixon 2 packs of a brand new ball and have all members do a review. Other wise, my donation of those Nike 2 ball packs will have to do.

Never got the PM and luckily happened to see this thread. I am pretty sure I will be playing and will be bringing another WRXer as well. Probably going to be playing classics and persimmon as well.

Mackdaddy, you should probably add a post to the original thread pointing to this one, so that folks who are tracking threads with "replies to your post" will have a better chance to find this thread.

What are the green fees for the Home Course? Do we have to take a cart or can we walk?
