The D1 is not as deep of face as the D2. Lucus Glover was carrying the ball 315-320 with the D1 today. I guess it sets up real square. The only problem is that Titleist changed graphics on the D1 and the USGA did not approve them yet, so no one can use the driver this week in the tournment.

 

They changed graphics on the D2, not the D1. The D1 is legal for play this week.

I was told by a very notable source that the D1 is not legal for play this week at the Chrysler Championship and currently isn't on the USGA conforming list. I am told however that it should be legal for play next week at the Tour Championship.

I'll take one D1 in 10.5° and one D2 in 10.5° please I don't know what it is, but every time Titleist brings out something new, I want it.

 

The D1 looks VERY interesting, would love to try one out and see how it performs. It'll be interesting to see how the tour players like it.

the new drivers look gross and aweful. from the 983 to the 905 titleist had the best face shape design, if they keep up with this new design then I gonna switch to a new driver brand, Ping or Taylormade are the options

D1 is a most try. At least Titleist is trying something new. That's good to see. Is anyone using it this weekend?

C.O.R., size, there is only so much that can be done with a traditional shape. ALL Drivers that are going to come out from hear on out are going to be non-traditional. M.O.I. it the only thing that is left to help you hit it farther and straighter....SORRY TMAG GUYS ITS COMING

I personally believe titleist should stick to making traditional head shaped drivers at around a 400cc head size instead of ugly 460cc drivers.

Thx for the pics, nice ones. But the best thing about this, as mentioned, is that next season I can upgrade my 905T to 905R with couple of bucks. :)

 

But what concerns those D-series clubs, very weird-looking. :-/

Kinda looks like a Callaway sole, a TaylorMade face, and a Sasquatch body. All of them rolled up into one equals one ugly driver (IMO).

I definatley prefer the look of the D2 over the D1. Not a fan of the triange look. Anyone know what the benefits would be over the 905r?

D2 looks great and i cant wait to hit the D1 and the square drivers from Nike and Callaway to see how they perform.

 

Same for me. I've been using tons of drivers in my (short) golfer life, and I must say that I became a Titleist driver addict and real fan.

 

And as I am really interested into the new technologies and new deal that square drivers will provide golf playing with next year, i'm very pleased that my favourite driver producer included that new high MOI hunt in a new bulldog.

 

Can't really prevent myself from thinking i'll buy a D1 as soon as it's released on the market.
