Cally Razr Fit 3 Wood Pics

PT stamped Serial

Just managed to get my hands on a Cally Razr Fit 3 wood courtesy of BFG Singapore, and the serial numbers include a PT stamping as well......

Here are some pics, and comparison against my other 3 wood, which is a Titleist 710 Fd. As you can see, the Cally is smaller in size compared to the Fd, and shallower too. View from the top is very clean, and the classic look sure brings out the feeling that this club is all business.

I will gaming this 3 wood this weekend over 2 rounds, and will write a review thereafter.

Looks nice, although my issue with adjustable fairway woods is that the adjustability option makes the hosel look ENORMOUS. This was the main reason for me getting rid of my 910F and ordering an RBZ Tour TP. I'm also not entirely convinced that adjustability is really required in a fairway wood anyway.

 

If I were to go for a 2012 Callaway fairway I'd definitely go for the Razr X Black. Now that's a thing of beauty.

FYI...

Callaway found that adjustable weights did not make a discernible ball flight difference in the smaller fairway heads, therefore they opted not to use them.

Probably not but I remember my R7 TP Ti fwy of years past. That thing was sweet and you could tell the difference in bell flight when the weights were adjusted.

Would've been nicer to have for weighting purposes more than anything else. Sort of like the titleist with one weight would've been awesome. This thing looks nice but man is it shallow faced.

Callaway specifically mentioned that during R&D testing, they found MWT didn't do anything for the fwy's. More a gimmick than anything else up to this point. I tend to agree, as the compact size doesn't really lend itself in the fwy's to making that much of a difference.

Yeah, and I've found that the shallow face makes it incredibly easy to hit off the deck and out of rough. My DET has a shallow face and it's MONEY. Just money.

Just went for a 3 wood fitting and chose the 910fd over the razr fit. Wasn't a fan at all. Just didn't care for the feel. I will say that the look at address is fantastic though. Really nice looking club from the top.

Probably is. I guess I've become used to hitting something real deep faced off the deck since I've played the 906F2 for the last 6 years in both my 3 and 5 wood. Definitely never hit a 3 wood out of the rough - if I'm 275+ in the rough and need a 3 wood to get there, I'll lay up and try to make birdie the hard way, lol.

looks ok...as far as I am concerned its just a Black colored RBZ. The shaft means everything in a fairway wood

I am NOT a callaway guy, but these woods and driver are the best looking releases in 2012. I will not be gaming them, but I am impressed, coming from a titleist snob.

Just hit this 3 wood in the sim and loved the feel. Felt hot off the face and seemed to get up in the air fairly easily. If you like the Razr Fit Driver, the feel is very similar. Paired with a good shaft, this could be a great gamer for sure.

Yes. I was able to demo the 3 wood too. Wow. Great feel off the face. Almost like the ball's not there. Just would need to pair it with my favorite 3 wood shaft and I'd have a monster!! The feel was amazing though. Really easy to hit off the deck.
