Arcadia Bluffs VRS Kohler

Who has done both??

We went and played the Kohler properties last year, really awesome experience. I'm looking for this years trip but its really close to the Women's open at Blackwolf run.

I'm thinking of doing Arcadia Bluffs but will it hold up to Whistling? I'm not trying to beat the Straits course but because its my only big trip of the year I want to make it count.

Arcadia Bluffs is good. I'd definitely play it instead of the Kohler properties if you've already played Straits and River at Kohler. You can probably get on Kingsley Club too with a well placed phone call. Or really pull some favors and play Crystal Downs.

You won't regret going to Arcadia Bluffs. If you are making a trip out of it there are many great courses in that part of the state.

I haven't played kohler, but arcadia is simply awesome. You won't regret playing it.

I agree with the others. Arcadia is amazing. It's a fixture on my yearly up north golf trip.

Arcadia is a really impressive course visually, and you'll almost definitely enjoy it. The downside is that it's the only course in that immediate area. There are other great options within about an hour drive, but it's not like Kohler where they have 4 courses in the same area.

An hour drive is no problem. I'm going to be coming up from my inlaws in St. Joesph so I'll be playing Harbor Shores and probably Point O Woods.

Can anyone get me on Crystal Downs??

I have played both...and I think course to course....most would agree Straits is better...it has more dramatic holes on the water. Not to mention, the sister courses of Irish, Meadows and Blackwolf make for a great golf destination.

Arcadia is a fabulous course...and a much cheaper green fee....but it is the only course in the area. Great for one and done...not so much a destination or golf resort.
