Hey guys,

So I'm getting married on June 23rd and I figure since my 3 groomsmen are all golfers (not super-golfers or anything) and I wanted to think of something cool, maybe customized but it doesn't have to be that I could get for them relating to golf.

Does anyone have things they've done/got for their boys that would be unique or have any ideas for someone like me looking for such a thing?

I don't wanna get them customized balls or anything that would be shanked into the woods or anything like that LOL!

Any ideas from the WRXers?

On the simple end of the spectrum you have embroidered golf shirts (name of you and your wife to be, date of the wedding, groomsman....or something to that effect)....

If you want to go b*lls to the wall crazy....customized clubhead covers or divot repair tools.....probably a bit more expensive....hence the b*alls being out and heading towards the wall.....

hahaha St. Andrews trip is not really in the budget LOL. I have thought of going with a paid for golf outing at a local course, somewhere nice that they haven't been too.

Budget is probably $50-75 each.

Depending on what is done, probably ~50-60 per headcover, but it is all custom.

Thinking about getting them to sign their initals and send them to her and have her do them in the color schemes of their favorite NFL teams. (without nfl logos)

I had my wedding end of last year and got my groomsmen engraved cameron divot tools. Seemed to go over well with them.

It's something that is pocketable and usable for many many years. Another thing I've seen over the years is a personalized "coozie" with something like, "Jan 10th 2012 Bill and Sherri got married and all I got was this damn coozie". I've always thought those were kind of neat.

I also like the flask idea, always handy to keep in your golf bag and has other uses, too. Custom head-cover is cool. Also, most golf bags have a removable section for embroidery, put some nickname on it or something. That would require a bit of stealthiness to pull-off.

That looks pretty cool but no nothing about the site or quality. My brother got me a golf bag watch that had a ring on the bottom for a towel. It is sterling silver with my initials on it and I still have it.

I still have an engraved divot tool from a 1986 wedding. Marriage ended in like 1992. Still have the divot tool.

I think customized groomsmen gifts are a great way to go. I've gotten a custom initialed flask, Benchmade knife, and cufflinks in the past. Loved them all.

Custom engraved/embroidered bag tag, divot tool, cash cover, headcovers, valuables pouch, even markers would be cool.

I received an M-Clip money clip from the last wedding I was in. It is literally the nicest money clip I've ever owned. I used it the day I got and haven't looked back.

Not sure of your budget, as these start at $50 and go way up, but Nordstroms had a limited edition golf ball texture/cover money clip that is so sick....you can see it in a pic here:

My advice is pick out something you think they would like. I wouldn't try to get every guy a matching gift – same price, but not the same gift.

And keep the wedding references understated. One of my friends gave each groomsman a beautiful wooden desk clock. Unfortunately, they put a big engraved plaque right above the face of the clock with "Bill* & Stacy*, June 14, 2009". Like I really want to look at a clock with their names on it every day.

Best man at my wedding received a set of limited edition tiki mugs from an artist he likes and a bottle of rum.

I was the best man for my lifelong best buddy's wedding... his gift to me was paying for a road trip from Columubus to Olgebay.. We played Longaberger and one of the olgebay courses and hit the casino during the night. He paid for the golf and hotel. It was a great gift and a great trip. A little bromance weekend (no h***). It couldnt have been better though.

Im getting married June 9 and am trying to figure out how to repay him. He isn't as into golf as I am. He did the trip knowing it would be perfect for me. If all my guys were golfing I would definetly take them somewhere ot play... but they aren't.... and 2 live out of state (one a****** lives in hawaii)

I say get them some cash covers from piedmont. You can get them different ones to match each persons style.

I would also stay away from anything with the date of your wedding on gifts to them as well.
