DavePelz4
Top 10 that I've been fortunate to play... Medinah #3 the Friday before the PGA - 7,700 yards of delicious torture - almost lost my shoes and caddie in the rough Whistling Straits The K Club 2 weeks before the Ryder Cup...in a 30 MPH wind, 40 degree temps and RAIN/SNOW. Picked a really bad time to forget the rainsuit. Dubsdread - BMW course in Chicago Blackwolf Run - 2 incredible courses in Kohler, WI...same complex as Whistling Straits Tullymore/St. Ives in Michigan Olympia Fields Blue Monster at Doral TPC Scottsdale Grayhawk - Raptor/Talon courtesy of One Putt Blunder who provided a great deal! The next course I'm playing...

WS Golfer
I'm young and poor, so I haven't been to the great places that some of you have, so from my narrow spectrum here in the PacNW here is my list. Columbia Edgewater CC- Portland, OR- One of the premier 'player's clubs' in the country, amazing golf course, very underratedSahalee CC- Sammamish, WA- Playing the same holes that some of the greats have played was truly amazingTetherow Golf Club- Bend, OR- Amazing new David McKlay Kidd design, played it before it was even open and it was breath taking. I want to get back to play it again now that it's grown in someThe Members Club at Aldarra- sammamish, WA- Stunning and relatively new ultra exclusive privateChambers Bay- University Place, WA- Again I played it very early on, and need to get back and see it now that it's a little more matureDude! Don't kid yourself.....these are five great courses - especially Chambers Bay in Tacoma When was the last time the USGA has gone to a golf course that is 7 months old.....7 months old, and finished their site visit with an offer to host the 2010 US Amateur and 2015 US Open - there is no precedent! That is what happened at Chambers Bay - must play!

golfingchuck
I haven't been able to play a lot of courses but I think the courses that I have played are pretty good.1. Redstone CC Players Course (two weeks before the Shell Houston Open) 10 minutes from my front door when I lived in Humble.2. Squire Creek Golf Club. Had U.S. Open qualifier in 08' Calhoun,LA not long from tips, but greens are insane. perfect but super fasti'm talking 13-15 fast.3. Redstone CC Members Course. I grew up playing this course when it was El dorado CC before Redstone. Really challenging course.4. Tour 18 Humble,Tx nice playing holes from other courses that you see on tv. I know not the same but still nice. Oh 5 minutes from my front door when I lived in Humble.5. It's a tie between River Crossing GC off hwy 281 30 minutes north of San Antonio and The Bandit GC in New Braunfels. Both are really beautiful courses.6. Cola Vista GC in Bastrop,TX. I forgot about this one, this course is in the middle of nowhere and I a beautiful golf course. It also has the colorado river the runs through the course.
