yeah, a lot can happen in a month, or a week! only played there twice, so looking fwd to it!
might hit kizer after willie sunday! never played kizer! any tips?

tips for Kizer? Don't hit it in the water..

Its an easy course.. I always shoot 4-5 shots lower at Kizer than at Clay or Mo Willy

got wet today at clay...first time playing it since the renovations...fun course! the greens were fast and seemed somewhat flat, which made it tough to stop the ball...finished the front, then it started coming down...

81 at kizer...1st time there...won't be my last...I love that layout! Was pooped from playing in the morning, of course, and struggled a bit putting...greens are subtle...

Played Bluebonnet this evening.. course is looking good. Can't complain for $20 at twilight... had groups on almost every hole.. i thought folks would be at home watching football lol..

We played Hancock yesterday and I didn't do so well. First time out with my new progressives and they threw off my stance. Kinda forces me to keep my head down if I want to see the ball. Side to side head movements warped my vision so putting was a challenge as the cup kept moving and the greens were hard to read. I may to get golf only glasses!

i'm kinda struggling a bit w/ these wilson irons...i was used to opening my stance and the club face, which lofts the ball high as heck...these dont wanna do that at all! you gotta be squared up...of course, they do go far and feel great...but the ping g20 sw i picked up is the bomb! really like that and the cleveland smart sole wedge...both are in steel, and that may be the issue for me...i like the ping hybrids i have and all the offset...the sw is offset as well, and i hit it perfect! already looking at ping irons, lol...

Agreed . Very wide fairways . Also just plain fun to play .

a welcome respite from tight, tree-lined fairways...plus, visually, it's dang near breath-taking, starting with #2 till the end...and you can certainly bailout away from water, yet still have a playable lie...
kizer is wide open off the tee, but still quite a challenge when approaching the green complexes...
we got some amazing golf around austin, for sure!

in my search for ping irons, i happened to check The Golf Club (on ben white) and they had the gap wedge...went there after work and they had the pitching wedge too! yeah, they're in my new cleveland bag now, lol...also put the macgregor 8 & 9 in the bag, which means i just spent $300 on the wilson d200 graphite irons, and they're outa the bag!!! my gosh, i thought i was finally done!!!

Played Clay today in very blustery conditions, winds 20-25 mph gusting to 30. Played left to right shots all day, started the ball on the left and the wind would take it all the way to the right, unbelievable. I was fine with breaking 90 today.

it was fun to play in that much wind, but not something i'd care to be doing on a regular basis, lol...
yesterday was a bit nippy, even at 10am, but at least the wind was down...

I was actually fixing to get the hotdeal out there for that time as well, but my in-laws wanted to join so we decided to go to Pine Forrest.

Played crystal falls on Monday and Falconhead today.. only had to pay cart fee's as last week was my birthday. You can print out a coupon on their online specials section of the website for this deal.

Falconhead greens were fast.. fairways were good shape, but they were hard. Got a lot of roll..

Been going thru some drivers lately trying to find one that gives my 20-30 yards over my 3 wood and looks like the cobra bio cell + is a winner. Picked it up for under $100 at the golfsmith used section and it looked brand new..

I had a blast at Wolfdancer. Really fun track. Missed the greens in all the wrong spots though. Greens were rolling at probably 12.

Played Shadowglen this morning as a single and did not see another group the whole day.. was playing well till hole 14 (2 over), when the cold front came thru and looked like it was going to rain. Played the remaining holes in a rush and ended up 9 over for the round.

I was expecting a cart path only policy given the rain yesterday and last night, but the fairways were quite dry. course is in great shape (except for the bunkers, which is expected after the rains we had in the past few days) but there was no casual water on any of the fairways. Was a bargain for the $15 on golfnow.com hot deals..
