It may not look different but I'm sure the performance is huge verus the Yonex brand you are referring to.

I'm not putting anything past them, but they are the KINGS of marketing hype. The idea of long irons you can hit high and short irons you can work is not new. The idea of forgiveness in a player's-looking package is not new. I'm not jumping to any conclusions yet, and will reserve judgement until I can give them a thorough testing.

I like the squiggly lines, it reminds me of the elephant skin that they have on Jordans.

If these irons are actually all that, hopefully they will make them not too long heel to toe and make the toe more square. TM irons have always been too long and rounded for my taste.

the groove in the sole is so when you hit it thin, it will still go 17 yards longer.

So disappointed. They have that cheap shiny chrome finish that made the R9TPs look battered after a few rounds. Players irons are about precision not brute force. If I want to hit a knock down wedge into a tight pin I don't want an extra 10 yards thanks very much.
Looking more like Mizzy for my 2013 irons.

Scary part. This post is up to 30 pages. And has been going for what 3-4 months. The thread on the new irons is a few days old and is already on 8 pages. So which thread will be longer.

I for one am anxious and curious about the new irons. If the slot gives feel or distance or accuracy or what. Will they knock my current irons out of the bag? Depends if I can come up with a good enough excuse to tell the wife...

The soles are painted. Clearly the paint will come off if you are continually brushing the ground at +- 100mph. With that being said, I've had an RBZ 3 wood and R11 DOT in the bag all year and they're still in great shape. I really doubt that the clubs will rapidly deteriorate aesthetically unless you abuse them in some way (club slammer, no head covers...). To say that they have sacrificed quality might be a bit of an over reaction. They are definitely not the first OEM that comes to mind when I think of broken drives (cracked face, crown, caved face etc) - that award goes handedly to Callaway.

So who wants to hear something ironic, and irritating? After vouching for quality, I cracked the face on my R11 DOT this morning. I was NOT a happy camper but was able to swap on an R11s head for the round and hit it really really well. Here's a pic of the damage. Doesn't look like much, but I might as well be hitting it with the head cover still on. It goes NOWHERE!!

My first post on golf wrx, I'm from the UK. Just posting because while at work on Friday afternoon I spotted a TaylorMade RocketBladez wedge on Sports Illustated's website. In fact if you google 'Taylormade RocketBladez Sports Illustated', the page is still there, but the image has been taken down. It was a traditional looking blade with a slot as expected to match these new Rocketbladez irons.
