Great win by a great champion .. Ernie deserved this one. Only one amongest the leaders under par on Sunday ( could have been scary low had he made some very makeable birdies on #1 , # 11 , #16, # 17 ). This Open makes up for the one he lost in 2004 ... to Todd Hamilton ,ya Todd Hamilton ... Ouch that one still hurts. Way to go Ernie could not have happen to a better player and guy.

Hard to believe Adam Scott bogied the last 4 holes after playing and hitting it so well ... his sand save on #1 Saturday was unreal

Peter Alliss .... while he mumbles too much , he is still the best. He called Snedeckers demise before Saturday's round ' too fast a swing... will never survive when wind comes up ' he was right. Love his jabs at dumb Zinger when he is on ABC. Flipped to BBC feed when he left ABC ... some classic stuff ' all they want to do over there (ABC) is predict what is going to happen , they want to know the winner now ... it's golf, are they stupid ' ....

ABC crew ... thank god for Andy North. Tirico is a wind bag that couldn't stop talking about Snedeckers smile SCARY ! no wonder Alliss thinks they are idiots.

Tiger Woods ... getting closer , sort of. Would have been great had we gotten a Scott/Woods final pairing. Stevie and Tig distain for each other would have been great TV

Please. This is back to back years that old dudes have won. British levels the playing field - which is fine and hats off to Ernie. So glad he won instead of Scott! But USA is still doing a lot to dominate. Woods is back folks.
