Got some good news from an extremely knowledgable person about the stock shaft for the 913's.

 

D2 and D3: Bassara W for Titleist, Aldila RIP, Aldila Phenom, Diamana S+, and Diamana D+ (All REAL DEAL!! No Made For)

 

F and H: Bassara W for Titleist, Aldila Phenom, Diamana S+, and Diamana D+ (same as above)

 

Looks pretty good to me, especially the real deal shaft in the Diamana's.

How much are the Standard Upcharge shafts and the Exotic Upcharge shafts now? I am considering buying a 910D3 but I sort of want to wait for the 913. i will most likely put a AXE Xtreme Tour 6+ in it anyway.

I have never reshafted a 910, can you reuse the Adapter Sleeve and pull the stock shaft and replace it with another or do you have to buy a new sleeve for every shaft?

A real blueboard would be nice in a 913D3. If it's true then it's a great marketing strategy to sell the 913, that is if the price is the same than a 913 with a MFT shaft or $50 more

Drivers yes. Fairways and hybrids no.

VTS shafts will be a available as an upgrade for the 913s.

Ping Anser driver prices are the same at $399 (most golf shops) whether or not shaft is stock, real deal Ahina, or Phenom. So it's likely this will hold true with Titleist assuming they're offering Ahinas. Ahina is a great shaft very much like the Whiteboard specs without the boardy feel.

That is correct. They are all after market shafts now. I have the Diamana white plus in mine and its pretty solid. The only slight complaint I have for the driver is the sound. But the feel outweighs the sound all day long. Titleist did a great job with the 913.

A google search shows the Titliest pdf brochure for a foreign country and the Tour Ad BB is listed as an upcharge, and pictured with the standard shafts. Fwiw

Like everyone said. Real deal shafts would be awesome. Looking forward to trying out the 913D. I'm lucky enough to have been able to reserve a Titlieist fitting day on the 3rd. Can't wait!!!

They are all real deal shafts, the fitting cart is in hand at my shop. S+ and D+ are VERY good shafts for what you're getting at that price point IMO. I ended up getting Tour AD BB-7 for my personal driver but I put the stock D+ 72X in my head and it performs just as well. So far I am 4/4 getting players to optimal or their optimal without the need for an upgrade/exotic shaft. Titleist did a very good job selecting the different options to fit almost every player. It really should be a top selling driver for them and in my biased opinion this is the best they've brought to market... performance, fitting, shaft selection, customization (weight kit) all in one package.

Called Mitsubishi Rayon and asked what OEM's would carry the Plus series shafts. They told me no OEM would have them until December "2013" thats over a year out yes 2013. Called customer service from the number on their website so your welcome to do the same. Said the US paint hasnt been finalized yet either.

I'm sure Acushnet had a deal with MRC and purchased a lot of shafts to make it an exclusive product to them for the time being.

It is my understanding that there are two different lines of Plus series shafts. There are the D+ and the S+ series shafts that are currently on the MRC website, and which will be stock shafts for the 913 drivers.

There is also a new prototype Plus series shaft, which has been pictured in another thread with the fancy flowered graphics - a brand new premium line to be introduced next year.

I think I am correct on that?

JW what are the characteristics of the S+ and D+ shafts. What would you compare them too. What would you recommend I try being I have an AD DI 6X in my 910 right now?

The S+ is the successor to the Blueboard and Kaili. Take everything you liked about both of those shafts and you get the S+.

The D+ is the successor to the Whiteboard and Ahina. Loved the Whiteboard, didn't get along well with the Ahina so I chose to pass.

Its easy enough to just think of them as Blueboard/Kai'li and Whiteboard/'ahina. S+ is still pretty low spinning though IMO and is a much softer feel than D+. I would start with S+ in X and see how it compares.

I was fit for my 913 already and the order has been placed... I did not think about the weight kit, does it come with the weight kit or just the wrench? Does the 910 Wrench work with the 913?

Is there a known price for how much the Tour Ad BB with surefit tip will cost? (just the shaft with tip)



I saw it listed on a Titleist PDF for an Asian country and the currency conversion ended up being about $800 for a 913 head with the Tour AD BB!! yikes!

I called and talked to them too. I think you are confusing PLUS about B-Series, their 3rd gen Blue Board. They told me Plus was already available through OEMs who chose to carry it in their custom programs, but B-Series would not be offered to any OEM custom programs until the end of 2013.

You mean what is the MSRP? The shaft upcharges are a little more than last year. I don't think there is an MSRP list.
