Is there a known price for how much the Tour Ad BB with surefit tip will cost? (just the shaft with tip)

I saw it listed on a Titleist PDF for an Asian country and the currency conversion ended up being about $800 for a 913 head with the Tour AD BB!! yikes!
if the pricing stays the same, i believe the upcharge for the AD DIs in the 910s was about $180 with the head, but if you want to buy just the shaft I assume it's full retail if you go through a dealer

The S+ is the successor to the Blueboard and Kaili. Take everything you liked about both of those shafts and you get the S+.

The D+ is the successor to the Whiteboard and Ahina. Loved the Whiteboard, didn't get along well with the Ahina so I chose to pass.

Hope this helps!
+1, the Ahina was terrible. I ordered my 913 with the D+, hope it feels and performs just like the WB.

Close, about $200 upcharge when ordered with the head. The shaft only with surefit tip will cost you around $220-240 for both DI and BB.

They are identical, I will post a picture of the two tips tonight. The only difference is the way the serial numbers are printed/ethced onto the shaft. Unfortunately the pricing has been updated to the upcharge shaft list, before the pricing was incredibly good.

I was quoted $200 for a Kai'li, it was considered "exotic" now for the 913. I am going to go with the RIP aplha which is still stock. I called MRD last week and asked a few questions regarding the D+ and S+. According to the rep I talked to, the D+ and S+ are not quite as tip stiff as the Kai'li and Ahina, they are slight;y softer, but similar bend profiles. They are going to be real deals in the 913. I believe the previous post regarding the D+ and S+ not being available is confused with the B series, 3rd generation.

Yeah, DD's told be that the D+ or S+ was basically worth $110 and the upgrade to the BB or DI was $350. Guess that makes it a $460 shaft! riiiiight.

Hi Guys

I spoke to the Team Titleist Manager at Acushnet in the UK, just over a week ago, and he gave me the custom shaft option list for the Titleist 913 Driver. Apparently the current custom shafts plus the ones listed below:

Matrix Ozik 6M3,7M3

Mitsubishi Diamana +Plus Blue 62,72,82

Mitsubishi Diamana +Plus White 73,83

Mitsubishi Kuro Kage 60,70

Aldila RIP Phenom 50,60,70,80

Fuji Motore Speeder Tour Spec 6.2,7.2

Fuji Rombax Type X

GDI Tour AD BB (Blue Bullet) 5,6,7
I asked him if I could share this info and he said 'feel free to share'. Unfortunately, when I tried to share this information with other Team Titleist members in the US, they saw fit to ban me from their forum! Strange people! Anyhow, this is the list guys, I hope you find it useful.

Those shaft upcharge prices are INSANE! It almost looks like the club manufacturer isn’t ready to fully embrace custom shaft options for the customer.
They're the same price as other OEM's now.

Like everyone said. Real deal shafts would be awesome. Looking forward to trying out the 913D. I'm lucky enough to have been able to reserve a Titlieist fitting day on the 3rd. Can't wait!!!
They are all real deal shafts, the fitting cart is in hand at my shop. S+ and D+ are VERY good shafts for what you're getting at that price point IMO. I ended up getting Tour AD BB-7 for my personal driver but I put the stock D+ 72X in my head and it performs just as well. So far I am 4/4 getting players to optimal or their optimal without the need for an upgrade/exotic shaft. Titleist did a very good job selecting the different options to fit almost every player. It really should be a top selling driver for them and in my biased opinion this is the best they've brought to market... performance, fitting, shaft selection, customization (weight kit) all in one package.
JW,

I currently play a 9.5 910D3 with the DI-7 shatf that will baloon on me a bit; will the BB significantly flatten out the trajectory or is there not much of a difference?

Also, how would you compare the 913 with the BB compared to the Ping Answer with the Ahina or the Tour Spec? Two drivers I have hit.

Thanks

Well, I guess define balloon... IF its truly ballooning flight then I would say NO, it will not lower it significantly. In my testing BB-7X launches around .5-.75 degrees lower and spins ~300 or so rpm's less than DI-7X. Its hard to put a number on it but that's quite a bit for a shaft. If you need lower launch and spin than that then it sounds like you need less loft and not a shaft change. Anser is just a crazy low spinning head in its own right just vital to get the loft on that correct and you should have a low spin monster. I think 913D3 is the best looking head on the market from address and lofts being equal should spin a little more than Anser... similar to i20 IMO.

'ahina and VC Tour Spec launch and spin pretty similarly IMO it really just depends on what the player likes feel wise. BB launches just a hair higher than those but feels better. That's why I like BB so much, feels great for how low launch and spin it is...

You're ballooning an AD DI? What are you playing a 7s or a 7x? If you're ballooning a LOW spin shaft like an AD DI, I don't know if a BB is worth the $$$. I would maybe try a cheaper low/low shaft instead of a mid/low to see if it's the shaft or your swing. I would also try a harder low spin ball, like the ProV1X before dishing out the cash for a BB. What's your SS?

I have a feeling you might be hitting too down on the ball instead of slightly up or square.

The new 913 head weights are not inter-changeable! This information was passed on to me this week. I have a real deal ILima in my 910 d2. Have a driver fitting end of the week. I was told I might need a sperate head for the ILima if I' m fitted for a different shalt.
(weight wise). The weight for the 913 has been moved back. Hope I'm making sense?

For those that have hit the 913 already, do these shafts have the Diamana logo's on 4 sides of the shaft like the made for Titleist ones had on the 910 series to accomodate the adjustability factor? Or, are they like all of the other MRC real deal shafts and just have the one logo on the bottom of the shaft?

Original color scheme so only 1 logo. They are the real deal.

J.W. - From what I understand the 910 tips for the driver's are compatible with 913 heads. Are the tips that come with the 913's identical to the 910 tips or are they different but compatible?
They are identical, I will post a picture of the two tips tonight. The only difference is the way the serial numbers are printed/ethced onto the shaft. Unfortunately the pricing has been updated to the upcharge shaft list, before the pricing was incredibly good.

Thanks for the info. It's good to be in possession of my Tour AD DI7x shaft. If the 913 head is better at least I'll know the shafts would be identical.

JW,

Have you tried (or have you fit people into) the Project X Black 7.0? I have been playing this shaft all year with great success (44.5, tipped 1.25 total in an 8.5 910D3, D5SW) but I need to find another shaft for my 913D3 8.5 (Since I can't order head only, why not try something new!).
I'm curious about what shaft offered in Titleist's new matrix would be most similar to it. I would be going back to 45''.
6M3 X, ADBB6 X, Phenom 60X, VC6.2TS-X... How would you compare them?

Thanks for your help!

To be completely honest, the more I fit the more I realize the shaft has very little impact. Even more so when you're at that level, the four shafts you listed... they all do the same thing to the ball. Most of them have a little bit different feel though which is more important at that point. M3 Black Tie, VC TS are the lowest launch and spin of just about anything out. BB is close but just a touch higher... definitely a better feeling shaft though. I went from Tour Spec 7.2 to BB-7 because the numbers are VERY close but BB just feels so much softer/smoother while still offering low/low. If you're looking for ultra low launch and spin, the M3 is probably your ticket. PX Black is not a shaft I have used much aside from PING i20 fittings.

Thanks for your input. I am aware that the trajectory is going to be affected more by the shot I choose to play. I simply wanted to make sure that the shafts were in the same ballpark launch and spin wise. You did not comment on the Phenom, is it because it's different or because you haven't tried it yet?
You commented on the feel aspect. Does it have any impact on the dispersion (BB easier to turn over)?
Also, based on the specs of the PX Black I play, would you recommend some extra tipping going to a 6M3X or BB6X? I know they make a 6M3XX but don't know about a BB6TX (Ballspeed 176-179)
Thanks
