North Texas Golf Center? Good practice facilities in Dallas?

I'm moving to Dallas in a month and am looking for a good practice facility/range. North Texas Golf Center looks pretty good from the site and google maps and close enough to where I live/work (635/75). The site is http://www.northtexasgolf.com/. Is there anything else that is good in the area? Price isn't too much of an issue but I can't join any private clubs or anything.

Don't know much about North TX Golf Center but have been in the PDA at Woodbridge for about 5 years. I'm on the $39/month plan and still like it although considering a big jump to the Platinum Plus since my wife plays a lot. Check it out a wbgolfclub.com

Golden Bear Golf Center is my go to place and I live at Preston/635...

If you work and live at 75 & 635, the North Texas Golf Center might be a longer drive than you want to deal with, especially if there's any traffic at all. It might look close on a map, but it's not that convenient to your location.

Ditto for Woodbridge. My dad lives there & is a member there, and it has a great practice facility (including a wonderful short game area), but it's not a short drive from 75 & 635 to get out to Wylie.

Of the places mentioned so far, the Practice Tee and Golden Bear are probably your best options if you're looking to practice before or after work during the week.

You could also look at Sherril Park. Their range balls are cheap and they have a good short game area by the course #2 first tee that doesn't get a lot of traction. It's a great place to take a shag bag and work on shots inside 50 yards.

Also, their rates after 6pm to play until dark are quite cheap if you want to walk. I've gotten around there in under 2 hours w/ a cart on weekday evenings before.

Golden Bear was my "go to" when I lived there. The North Texas Golf Center, was bit rough in my opinion. The Practice Tee was open 24 hours a day with automated ball dispensers, so that can be nice if you want to go real early or real late.
