Review on HydroFlask water bottles

Awhile back I read the 5 page thread about Hybdroflask.. IMO it was just an overpriced waste of money. (Who the heck spends $25+ on a freakin' water bottle?!) Well, fast forward to when I'm playing in a fairly large junior tournament... right before we tee off, they hand us water bottles as tee prizes.

 

"Great, a water bottle as tee prizes, how long will it be until I lose that piece of garbage?" I think to myself.

I take note as to how heavy and comfortable they feel, then toss the piece of "junk" into my golf bag..

 

A few days later, and i'm playing at my home course and it is just super hot (85 degrees) and I'm starting to get really thirsty. I rummage through my golf bag, pull out the water bottle, and see that it says "Hydro". I turn it a bit more and am shocked to see it says "HydroFlask".

 

SWEET! I had read the reviews on how great this was, but knew I'd never pay full price for it. or so I thought. I fill it up, expecting the bottle to keep the water cold for a few holes. But by hole nine, the water is still as cold as it was when i filled it up.

So i fill it up again, leave it out in the sun, go have a lesson with my instructor, work on putting and chipping and come back almost 3 hours later and BOOM! Still as cold as ever! Awesome!

 

I was really excited because the next day it was supposed to reach 95 degrees and I was going to have cold water the whole round!

At 10 P.M. I fill the bottle with warm water, and toss it in the fridge, thinking the fridge will get it super cold. I take it out in the morning, and take my first sip on hole #6.. unbelieably, the water is still as warm as it was when I filled it up. Crazy. I am officially a believer!

 

Pros-

Ergonomic

looks "clean"

Heavy

works 110% perfect

 

Cons-

-pricey, but well worth it

-Loud when dropped on hard surface.

Pro Tip - Get a sports top for it and it's even better

I got a 32 ounce flask based on reviews in this forum and fell in love. i now have a 32, 28, and 25. i love them and i use them for work and daily life as well as on the course

thanks for the review

gonna grab me a 64 and 28, use the 64 to fill the 28 during the round. depending how long i keep my cart bag, the cooler pocket(not like its needed or anything for this bottle) will just fit the 64 perfectly. just wish i was able to take advantage of the 50% GMA deal a while back.

Only on GolfWRX do people go for different lofted water bottles....

Has the capacity been digitally checked? What flex is the nozzle?

This is a great water bottle. I bought one as soon as I read the reviews here and have loved it from day one. Many friends and family members also bought one after seeing how well these keep liquids cool/warm. Great product that is worth every penny spent.
