I've got a BB83X tipped 1-1/2" in my 15° 910F and I like it really well. I get about 235 yards off the ground and about 250 yards off the tee. However I am thinking about trying a shaft with a lower trajectory than the BB to see if I can get a little more distance off the ground.

What's your swing speed? If you're only getting 250 off the tee/235 off the deck you may be better served by using a stiff Flex as opposed to a tipped X in my opinion

As for me, the project x 8c4 has worked well in my 910f 15 degree and it's relatively cheap

I tried a few stiff flex shafts in my 910F, the stock Kali 75 and a BB83s to name two, and I have had better results as far as dispersion and distance combined with the BB83X. I would rather be accurate than long. I also have a very quick transition from the top that makes stiffer shafts perform better (for myself) than what my swing speed would suggest. I also tend to hit down on the ball with a lot of backspin that causes the ball to balloon.

The last time I has my swing speed checked with my driver, I was swinging 107-110. I have a X flex shaft in my driver too, and I get much better results than stiff flex shafts. I'm currently trying out a Proforce Axivcore Tour Green 65X cut to 43-1/3" and its almost point and shoot. Last night during a practice round I hit several shots over 280 yards with excellent dispersion.

I had the MFT Diamana Ahina 82 Stiff in at first. It was honestly a pretty solid shaft with a good flight (I am saving it for when I get older and can't swing as fast). I just liked the 73X Whiteboard so much in my 910 D3 driver that I had to put an 83X Whiteboard in my 910F. This is absolutely a killer comination. It's almost as if the 910 series and Diamana Whiteboards are soulmates! The Whiteboard provides great feel and when you pure this thing, it sometimes makes me question why I have a driver. It is also dead accurate and great off the tee.

If money is no option then without a doubt I'd choose a BB. I have tried a BB83s and it has better feel and dispersion than the project x 8c4. The project x feels good but it's just not a Blueboard. That being said, I think the project x is the best stock shaft offering for the 910f

I have the Project X in mine right now, and its ok, but I'm not in love with it either. Currently exploring other options.

I used to have a whiteboard in my 909f and loved that. The non-MFT Blueboard in the 909F was a good combo as well.

I wish shafts were cheaper...

I play the 910 FD 15* with a tour AD DI 8x and really like it. This is the first fairway wood in a long time that I have been able to hit. It has a nice mid ball flight and is easy to hit off the tee and off the fairway.

Just picked up my first 910F 3wood & having seen great results from my Xcaliber Tour 7+ in the 910 D3 driver, I decided to put the Tour Fairway 7+ in the 3wood - Fantastic shaft! lovely medium high traj with good penetration - Easy to hit off the tee or grass
My last few fairway shafts have been Whiteboard 83x & Blueboard 73x and the Tour Fairway 7+ feels & performs better for me
As you may be aware, due to the stiff mid section & tip of the Xcaliber Tour, it is recommended you drop a level of stiffness, so I have the Stiff in both my shaft having been X-Stiff previously
Xcalibers are ridiculously cheap in the US, so not a stretch for most people to give them a try (?)
Cheers ... Paul

MFT Ahina 82 Stiff in a FD 15*. Really smooth and hits straight and flat bullets. Don't want to try a Whiteboard, can only imagine how much better it would be.

Can you give me some deets on the feel and flight of this shaft? I worry about the feel of the Project X series being a little boardy.

Well keep in mind that it was the stock "Made for Titleist" Ahina, NOT the real deal. Real deal Ahinas are very similar to Whiteboards from what I hear. Also, the Ahina was a Stiff and my Whiteboard is an X.

Honestly I probably barely get more distance and accuracy out of the Whiteboard. The Ahina had a nice mid flight that seemed to carry really well. The Whiteboard launches a little bit lower, which I personally love (I would hit stingers all day if they were effective). The ball reaches it's peak later with the Whiteboard so I get a little bit more distance out of it. The Ahina just felt a little more bendy than I was comfortable with and I don't get that feeling at all with the Whiteboard. But that is probably because the Whiteboard is an X and not a Stiff.

Also, call me crazy, but I have it in my head that an X-flex shaft reels in my poorer shots better than a Stiff does. My misses with the Ahina were about 5-10yds worse right or left than any of my misses with the Whiteboard. I am also turning into somewhat of a Driver/3w shaft ho and couldn't bare to have a "made for" (ie. knock off) shaft in a club I loved so much and used so much off the tee. Real-deals have a bit more flash don't you think? :nyam:

You hit it really short, the shaft is probably too stout for you.

Not any use unless you compare both at the same flex, I would expect an S to be more bendy than an X. The Ahina has a stiffer tip compared to the Whiteboard.

anyone compared the Whiteboard 73x v Ahina 70x - I have : the Ahina has tighter dispersation, slighly higher launch but about 300rpm less spin on trackman (910FD head), both are aimed at powerful hitters who agressiely attack th ball.
WB & Ahina if tipped corectly are very stable shafts . My ball speed was a few mph higher with the Ahina. Both are great shafts
