Salty Putter Grips

I know they are getting ones from a different manufacturer. Mark said they were a little bit smaller as I was having trouble getting used to how big they are. Not sure when those are supposed to show up...but even if you have one of the original big ones...you can always sand it down

I've had mine on for over 6 months and it is holding up great. The cork actually is molding to my hands very nicely. I have a couple of them installed in different putters, the slightly smaller ones are my favorite. They get better with age rather than getting worse.

Ok so I've had one of these (origional model) on my SIK for about a month now, without a doubt the BEST putter grip I've ever used. I know now why cork is used on highend fly rods, it's SUPER sensitive so the response you get is quite amazing. If I had to pick the single most exsiting effect from switching to this Salty is how much my grip pressure has improved. I can't explain why but I think it's the fact that the grip is soft to the touch but firm/solid so you don't find yourself squeezing, super trick...BB

Two things I've noticed Joe. One is I feel more weight in the club head because the 'Salty' is lighter. Secondly, there is a definite feedback. I won't call it harsh but you know when you hit it sweet and you know when you don't.

I just got a new Salty in yesterday. It was a different model than the first one I got. It was one of the new ones from a different manufacturer. A lot smaller and is non tapered similar to a super stroke. All I can say is awesome. Size wise it is very close to a Super Stroke 1 inch. I don't know if they are available now but Salty has a real winner on their hands with this one. I highly recommend the new Saltys.

THese are THE BEST putter grips in golf hands down, I will post pics soon once I have the newer model. I believe ultimately Salty will have 3 sizes, you gotta order one of these and try it boys trust a HO...BB

I just installed the new non-taper Salty grip. It is much like the super slim Super Stroke grip. The top is flat and the back is round. It fits really nicely in the hands. New cork seems really good. I'll get in on the course today and see what happens.

I have one of the new ones as well, but haven't installed it yet. It is pretty much exactly the same shape and size as a Super Stroke 2.0 that is on my putter now. A tiny bit longer, but the same width. It looks nice, can't wait to try it out! Just waiting for a counter weight to get here before I install it, should be here Monday.

Did you notice on the new style does it install better? Had many problems with the first ones not sticking to tape and twisting! Pain in the a**

These grips do NOT taper, you need to follow the installation instructions and you will have zero problems. Basically you need to build up the tape as the shaft tapers...BB

Edit: Installed it per instructions, slipped on with just a bit more effort than a normal grip. I have probably had 20 putter grips over the years and the way this feels in my hands blows them all away(seriously, best putter grip idea EVER), even just putting down the hallway. Completely random... I actually met Whitfield randomly at a bar this past weekend. I was on a bachelor party weekend with 6 guys and struck up a convo with Whit at a bar... convo turned to golf, and he mentioned that he was co-owner of Salty Grips. He mentioned a big name PGA pro is going to start testing with one, also showed me pictures of the grips they did for Bettinardi... (I'm sure everyone can guess the PGA Pro who will be testing with one....)

Needless to say, Whit seems like a nice guy, has a solid product on his hands.

i'm a pretty big supporter of anyone who is willing to take a leap of faith and go after a dream... Whit is a pretty young guy like myself, he is taking a leap in his life and really trying to make a career out of something he has passion about. Pretty impressive and gutsy. I can respect the hell out of that.

I didnt even know a SaltyGrips post was on WRX until i searched it here to see if anyone was chatting it up about them.... Would have never known about it if it wasnt for my random bar encounter.

This was my feeling exactly, just a super good idea. Ask yourself if a 3k fly rod has a cork grip might not be a bad idea to consider one on a putter! Well done boys, these should make a big splash...BB

I haven't felt a change this significant for $35 in a LONG time. I'm buying another just to keep un-used, should anything ever happen and for whatever reason they become unavailable. Seriously people, they're that good. I feel the ball all the way up the shaft and directly into my palms, Instant feedback before the ball is even 1" away from the putter face...My grip pressure is almost half of what it used to be and everything feels more fluid. Just wow, hard to believe nobody thought of this sooner! I couldn't agree with what you said more Ben, Best putter grip in golf hands down no contest.

Edit: within an hour of installing it I was hooked, I stood a pack of cigarettes up 15ft away in the hallway and knocked it over 10x in a row. O_O.
