Bag is basically set! Will add a 60* or 62* this week but other than that I'm all set for year..hopefully.

Nice bag, I play a similar shaft set up in my driver and 3 wood and have a couple hybrids coming but not set on what I want to do for a shaft. What does that VS Proto do for you? I had the 80 gram version in an original idea pro and hit it great but intrigued by the heavier version. They go cheap on the bay too, which is nice.

Honestly its the favorite shaft of any wood I have in bag. I just got it built a couple weeks ago so haven't had a lot of play with it but I hit a buddy's 16.5* a lot and loved it. I have it tipped 1" and it is a stout, stable, anti-left machine. I have to completely get through ball with the intention of playing a hook to really get it to draw at all, which was what I wanted. I got this mainly for a 265-280 club off the tee that I could easily control and not worry about going left. Love it so far to say the least.

I wouldn't of minded giving the VTS black 100 hybrid XX a try but the VS Proto at that price on ebay, and knowing how it performed, easy decision.

Couple changes! Finally! it has been over a month for the irons..

J40 CB's. Pulled my c-tapers and finally got my nippon super peening blue X's in. Grey Lamkin Crossline 3GEN Ace grips and grey custom ferrules.

Can't go wrong with the J40's man. There are many topics on here about them and my thoughts are right on par with what everyone else has to say and you'll be hard pressed to find any negative comments. Love them and can't wait to play them with the new shafts.

You'll have to give me a full update on how the J40's play with the Nippons. I am strongly considering changing to Nippons, either Modus 3 Tours or SPB's.

The KBS Tours feel good in mine but i'm always looking for something better.

Nice bag! What shaft are you going to be replacing the 7.2 motore with? How do you like the 8.2 Tour Spec in the three wood and is it hard to get off the ground?

Awesome idea! I think for amateurs, the 4 wedge set-up is the best way to go. Because we don't have to play all these monster courses the pros do. Good idea for sure!

Thanks! I'm still a bit up in the air on what I'm going to do. 7.2 or 8.2X tour spec, 7.3 or 8.3X tour spec, maybe 8.1X tipped out, BB 7 or 8X with proper tipping could work. I like my driver shaft in the upper 70's to mid 80's weight and may get the same shaft in the driver. Love the shaft in the wood, I would of rather prefered the weight of a 9.2X but I got the 8.2X at such a good deal from my buddy that I just went with it and added about 6 grams of lead tape to the underside of the shaft.

I personally don't have any trouble getting it the air but my SS and ball speed numbers are on the high range. 3 of my friends have attempted to hit it and struggled. SS vary from 108-116.

It's definitely the best way for me to have my gaps and just about any shot I may have covered.
