Mizuno MP 650 Hybrid (& woods) = rocket

This may have been talked about before, but the Mizuno MP 650 wood and hybrid line is phenominal. I especially like the hybrid, which is an absolute rocket. It just takes off and I can't believe how far the ball goes off this club. I do wish the fairway woods and driver were more square faced instead of open though. I also know that the MP 650 line is on its way out soon, but it really is a shame Mizuno doesn't push their hybrid and woods more. I was hitting hybrids from TM, Titleist, Ping, Tour Edge, Adams, Cleveland, and Nike and I still couldn't believe how far and straight the 650 hybrid would go. Even on mishits, the ball seemed to go further than I expected. The fairway wood and driver was also just jumping off the clubhead.

I'm hoping the next line from Mizuno will be just as good, and hopefully they will give a few more options. I would like to see a strong (13 degree) 3-wood option. Not only did these clubs perform well, but they are also really clean and nice looking.

They do have a 13.5* MP-650 Fairway wood.

I picked up an MP-650 driver and 3 wood and am loving them so far. This is the first driver since my 909D3 that didn't have a removable shaft and tip. But based on the open face angle, look, feel and sound, I couldn't pass it up. I need the open face because everything goes left for me. I have to change my philosophy, because I always aim down the right of the fw. With this thing, a lazy swing will fade. Maybe I can aim down the left or middle for the first time in my life.

I have been really impressed with my 650 hybrids as well....I have a 19* and a 22*. Distance is not a problem with these things. I am thinking of getting a 650 driver to replace my 630fasttrack.

I've been debating getting the MP-650 hybrid, but it has a square face and I went to the Driver and FW because of the open face. I'm afraid it will bring the hook back into play over my TEE CB4 hybrid, which has an open face.

Who says the 650 line is on it's way out?

They only released it early this year and Mizuno generally have a 2 year cycle on product. (mp one year, mx / jpx the next for woods - the recent jpx woods release should really have been early next year but they got excited)

I'm liking mine anyway - just a nice feel / sound too.

I've been playing it as my safety driver on tighter holes and the results have been outstanding. It isn't hook biased like so many other hybrids.

It's easy to launch off the deck too and just goes straight.

Here's my Game Gold results with this great stick. That's my best dispersion by far among my longer clubs - by a mile.

If you're struggling to find a hybrid that won't snap hook on you - check this one out. They're crazy cheap on ebay too

It's easy to launch off the deck too and just goes straight.

It is still a great club and still relevant, unfortunately I don't usually play a hybrid. At the current time I'm letting someone borrow mine and they love it.
