Sorry not feeling the shoes, but I would wear them for a sneak peak at the R1. I even took the afternoon off and booked a lesson with Zack figuring he would be pumped and had lots to share. But no luck the Bas***d wouldn't tell me jack. Expect that I am moving my head too much...LOL.

The one thing Zack did tell me is that even tought I got like 7 TM sets of clubs at home and 4 stashed my wife don't know about, I'm gonna get the new stuff. Apparently the new line up is so impressive that he guarentees it.

It's supposed to be lower launch than Black. From high to low you have Purple, Black then White. Players were picking up a decent amount of ball speed with the Proto's earlier this year.

Come on Doc, I filled you in on the irons! And yes you will be buying 11 new TaylorMade clubs this year, or 14 if you need wedges or another putter. I Guarantee that....

You have to love the respect that wrx has developed. The reason these things will keep happening, is because they can trust the new product won't be seen until TM says so.....

For the lucky few who were able to visit the kingdom on this trip. Can you advise us on when the embargo will be lifted on all of the 2013 products?

I would like to start by thanking the staff at TMAG for having us out to their awesome facility, and giving us the Royal treatment! I can't say enough about how nice, and welcoming they were to us. Other than their great products the best part about TMAG are the people who work there. These guys are real golfers who really love the game of golf. It also doesn't hurt that alot of them are Packer fans LOL.
Our trip went something like this. We got off the the plane and headed to pick up our bags and were greated by a limo driver with a sign that had our names on it. super cool.... He took us straight to the main office where we meet with the VP of the company along with the designers, and global managers for Woods, Irons, and Golf Balls. They showed us the new products, and explained all the science in them. We asked tons of crazy questions and they answered everyone of them while we were having a catered lunch!
After the meeting we went down to the Kingdom, and were brought over to the far left private tee. They had the track man set and all the clubs were there for us to try and test! It was a bit somber because we were hitting balls on Mr Flick's lesson tee, and he had passed away that day. I was able to hit and test eveything, and compare them against my current clubs.
At this time I am able to speak about the irons so here goes...First I tested and compared the irons. I had brougth my favorite set of irons, the 300's to test. When I hit the 300's on the track man I was carrying my 7 iron on average 162 yards. I then hit the RocketBladez Tours and my carry went up to167 and the best part was they went a bit higher. Next I hit the RocketBladez and I was carrying the 7 iron 173 yards, and hitting it even higher than I was with the tours!
After hitting balls until it was pitch black we went inside and tried some proto putters while Tim told us some great stories about Mr Flick.
Then we were off to a very nice dinner where we had great conversation,and laughs. After dinner I was super tired and it was straight to bed because we had an early tee time at Torrey in the morning!
Our round of golf was great except for the super thick fog that rolled in for a few holes. What a a great golf course. I'ts super hard and Long! I really enjoyed my time on the course with the TMAG guys it was truely a great day.
After golf we were picked up in the parking lot and driven back to the airport. Talk about a whirlwind of fun!
I'll post more details, and be happy to answer questions about the irons.
