So much so that Monday qualifiers on the Web.com Tour sometimes get the inferior retail heads! Lol. I think it's hilarious. While there are certain companies and heads with Tour CG's and heads.....most heads are just spec'd out heads and then the T serial is engraved in so they know they've tested them. Fred Couple's R9 was a retail serial. Does that mean he bought it at a Dick's Sporting Good's? No. Only on WRX.

Well, I think he sorta was fit into it, but after the fact he said it didn't work for him. And he was pretty petulant during the whole trip....kind of a downer to be around according to the others there.

Ah ok. Yeah I just remember that the thread got pretty long and members and marshals/owners were a little unhappy with how the member handled the situation.

I remember this well. The member was fitted into a DOT head at the Kingdom. When he got home he ended up selling the club and posted this in the thread. A total bonehead move. The folks at TM were extremely upset and rightly so. I went to the Kingdom the following week and you could tell the TM folks were very sensitive about it. I'm not even sure that guy is still a member on here any longer actually.

I wonder if the same people who are upset that they fit into retail stuff are the same people that when prescribed Vicodin for pain at the Dr. they want OxyContin or Morphine...you know for the extra performance (and resale value). :busted_cop::pimp: Simple way to get Tour stuff fit for you....play better, spend more money, or make more friends.

Oh wow, I never knew what happened when the second group went to the Plantation in Georgia. Once the thread was closed I never heard anything more other than easyyy never wanting to see a prize on the BST. I agree, the TM folks had every right to be upset. They definitely rolled out the red carpet for the members.

You are 100% correct! Some folks want the bling factor of "tour issued" clubs even if it means it is not right for them. Others just want to turn around and make a quick buck from a tour issued club which is why TM pays close attention to this stuff now days.

No, I wasn't lucky enough to get the Kingdom. But I was fortunate enough to try the R11 irons and meet Haney down in Dallas.

I just remember that BST ad and the virtual kick in the balls that guy gave the site. Frankly, I'm happy TMAG didn't hold it against the rest of us. Give such a great gift only to have a moron go out and flip it. That's everything that is wrong with golf today.

Just for the record, I still have my R11s and the Driver Love headcover I got from my Kingdom experience. I couldn't imagine trying to flip it...especially not on the same site that offered me that great experience. It was an amazing experience and I have a great appreciate for GolfWRX and TaylorMade for it.
