No kidding! My first car did not cost as much as those clubs combined. Maybe my first 2 cars! Haha.

At 14, my dad (aka santa, still had a little sister at the time so I usually got a gift or 2 from santa as well to keep her believing) got me a big bertha driver. It was a season or two old, but was by far the nicest club I had ever owned (only name brand one). It was the biggest big bertha, and looks tiny compared to today's drivers. It had a senior light shaft in it, and somehow I learned to really bomb that thing in my 20's, which is surprising with that shaft. I just learned how to hit it and played it forever. I still have that club and I will never get rid of it. Really brings back good memories of my dad and I hacking it around growing up. I appreciate it so much more now that I realize how much it costs being a parent and the fact my dad did not buy clubs for himself, it was such a cool gift. Sorry for the thread jack, had to reminisce.

This is the first year that I have no desire for any new clubs...I know crazy...this year my "wish list" is more club building tools for my "shop" and by shop I mean garage and by garage I mean my small work bench

Normally I don't get asked because my answer is always the same, I don't need much, those close to me would never buy me golf equipment other than golf balls. I usually receive 2-3 gift cards for Golf Town which works well for me.

I pick out one big golf gift every year, find it for the cheapest price possible, then send the exact link to my lady... she usually comes through.

Last year, it was a Leupold GX-3i... best gift I've ever received.

This year, it's a 15* TEE CB5 with Fubuki Tour S. Found it for $150, brand new on the bay. Send the link over to her... a week later the item was no longer listed and there was a long, thin box under the Christmas Tree.

She's the best!


Outside of that, I just send people a link to the gloves I like... they are on sale at BudgetGolf.com for less than $10. I tell them that I could use somewhere between 1 and 1,000,000 of those

I don't have a list.. Never really did.

Bought myself a new driver, some grips, some balls.

I always get a dozen ProV1's personalized with something goofy/funny on them from my wife. Has become a tradition of sorts, for the last.. 6 or 7 years. Look forward to those balls more than anything, because it's always a good laugh, and it's something my wife does on her own for me. Keep 1 ball out of them for the ball rack in the office and it's fun to look back.

Can't wait until I have her and both kids buying me a dozen from each. I hope I can con that one for as long as possible.
