Ogio 2013 - did they fix their leg system?

I was in Golf Galaxy the other day and went over to the bag section to see the 2013 stuff. Was hoping to see all of the new Ogio bags but they only had the 2013 Vapor on the floor at that point. Which is actually pretty damn weird since that was pretty much the only Ogio they didn't stock in past years.

Anyway, I was checking out the Vapor as it had my interest 12-18 months ago when I was last bag shopping. Set the legs down and WHOA - these legs flew way out, and fast. Almost like a Sun Mountain set up. Ogio's biggest downfall was always that the legs kept the bag too upright and the bag would be able to be knocked over but this looked to be a big improvement.

Anyone else see the same on the other new Ogio bags?

Haven't seen the new ones. My current bag is an Ogio with legs that don't open anymore and two guys that I know currently have the same problem. My bag is in great shape otherwise. However, because of the leg thing, I will be picking up a Sun Mountain before the season officially starts here. Interested to hear what others have to say about the 2013 Ogio lineup.

To the post above...I've have multiple Ogio's and never had an issue with the legs no deploying. Depending on the age of the bag (and if you have a receipt), you might consider contacting Ogio. They might offer you a new bag.

To the OP...I did notice that sometimes the Ogio bag's legs didn't deloy far enough which causes them to stand more upright. Ironically, I've had similar issues with other bag companies as well. I found that if you use the handle integrated in the openning (where you put your clubs), the deployment system is more much reactive and fully deploys. Regardless...in a strong wind, I've had my Ogio, Ping and Sun Mountain bags fall over unless they were openning "with the wind".

From the ones I've seen over the years, Ogio's bags were much more upright and less stable than the rest of the market. Looks to be much improved this year if all of the bags operate like the new Vapor.

For this to happen, Ogio would have to have good customer service. In my experience, their customer service sucks. I have an Ogio laptop backpack and 2 zippers broke and the should seam split within 6 month of use (I'm NOT a student). I sent pictures and receipt via their warranty web site. They sent me an email telling me to send the backpack to them at my expense and they MIGHT repair and/or replace and ship back (at my expense again). Could be 3 to 4 weeks without a laptop pack.

They can pound sand.

I had an Ogio bag 2 years ago. I stress "had". As others mentioned these bags stand very upright and are not stable at all. To make things worse the stand mechanism snapped 4 rounds in. I also noticed that their bags are quite heavy compared to bags with similar features and pockets.

Have been using Sun Mountain ever since and won't go back to Ogio.

Never noticed them being upright, but tried them BRIEFLY on two occasions. Every one I have ever seen has had the same issue mine did. Legs wouldn't fully retract and sagged while walking. Took them back for full refund after a week.

Sun Mountain is where it's at!

I had a 2012 Vapor until yesterday.
Since the day I got it,. the legs would never fully retract back to the bag. Then yesterday, the plastic housing where the metal pins that support the legs (sorry..can't describe it any other way!) broke right off.
I took it back to Golf Town, and they replaced it with a 2013...seems Ogio has done alot to improve on how the legs come out and how they sit on the ground. This new bag is excellent.
I'm thinking it was an engineering flaw on the 2012. The plastic housing was likely not built properly or installed on the bag correctly. This led to added stress on the housing, not allowing the legs to retract, and eventually gave out.
