great bag. very comfortable. i like the pockets better on last years model, but the strap system is much improved.

you're 100% right. here is where i am at to date - post bandon dunes. i need a players set of irons 100%. splits, blades, cavities... something that has a smaller sole - three options in order... nike, cobra, titleist. i managed the super tight fairways just fine, but it opened my eyes to my actual needs vs. perceived needs. also showed me that the TMAG driver needs to be gone. great club - but the 913d3 7.5 or covert tour 8.5 will battle things out for the number one spot in my bag. the FLAT flight that both offer best suits my game.

only got to play three times...

day one 36 holes - 18 bandon dunes 77 - 18 bandon trails SCORE TOO HIGH TO TELL (i had a bad stretch where i was leaking oil).
day two 18 holes - 18 pacific dunes 74 - 6 birdies, two doubles, four bogies.

i will get some more bandon pictures up soon! as i mentioned before i am going to do a bag overhaul before i head back. something that suits ALL the conditions of the NW - right now my bag was more geared to the wet half. i can refine this and easily have something that can be played all year - and travels well!

I won't ever get rid of the ansers! Coming from blades then to players cb it's what I'm most comfortable with. Golf is all about the quality of your bad shot - that's what I'm after.

coming back to this question, Im waiting to see the new nike irons this summer. Anser irons arent bad at all in the mean time

agreed! if they come out with a brushed or satin iron - i will be all over it! i love the current model(s), but am hesitant when the new product is around the corner!

right now the stage 2 fw and the rbz tour hybrid are the only two for sure in the stay category. for sure motore speeder ts will be in the mix regardless.

These are my thoughts exactly, as good as the Stage 2 Fairway is (and it is good), once you find another combo without the paint that is equally as good, the Stage 2 is an afterthought.

Swan- If you are in the market for irons you should seriously consider waiting for the 714, S55 and new Nikes to come out. It would suck to blow a G on irons just to find something better in a few months.

not sure if i agree with you on the stage 2 - as i like the paint. however... the irons. agree with you 100%. going to hang tight. as you mentioned before i am a little concerned with the titleist irons based on spin. that being said i am heavily leaning nike/titleist for irons!

i may follow your lead! i love the covert you have! plus after going through a trackman fitting with daniel (as his advocate! LOL) i am really sold on the nike covert tour/performance. right now it is between that and the 913d3. both of us need to get our games and equipment sharp... the wind will blow harder and we need to be ready! i more than likely will bring my TMAG MC 2 iron on the next go around.

If you like the paint than it's a lock.... It is a very good 3 wood, probably one of the best. I just cannot stand the paint.

i don't mind it as much as i don't love it or dislike it the performance is there - my money is invested. the paint is very good for alignment though - i was surprised how it did provide that extra confirmation.

I love my Ansers too. I think a lot of people want to cut them up because of the price. It kind of goes along with the logic of guys spending $500 to $700 for a driver they cant hit but would never spend that much on a putter that works.

the anser irons are still in the mix! i will play them when it is wet (half the year) with no problems. love them. i do feel that the ansers are slightly exposed in the true links style bare fw. regardless - it is impossible to find a set of irons as nice!

What happened with the Nike Covert Performance? Also, what do you like, and not like about the Tour vs the 913d3. I have the d3, but have been considering picking up either a Covert Tour or Performance to experiment with. I wanted to like the R1, but I am too OCD to have all that adjustability.
