Will someone please explain the difference between the "lead" and the "outright lead"? Is one more special than the other? Do you get an extra stroke if you have the "outright lead" as opposed to the "lead"?

They use "for the outright lead" when someone is currently T1 with someone else and dropping the putt will take him to solo first.

Yes Pedron, but wouldn't the individual dropping that putt still have the lead in that situation? Tied for the lead, or the lead. There is a distinction. I don't know, it's one of those things that I find annoying. :-)

Yes Pedron, but wouldn't the individual dropping that putt still have the lead in that situation? Tied for the lead, or the lead. There is a distinction. I don't know, it's one of those things that I find annoying. :-)

Why were the afternoon scores so much lower than the morning? Usually the morning is quieter and the afternoon windier.

I was out there today following Rory's group and the wind was consistent throughout the day. The only difference I noticed was that it was pretty cold in the am. It was that type of wind that would cut through your jacket.

With that being said, it was still worth every minute out there. Rory absolutely bombs his woods. It was incredible how high and far they go. He hit his 3 wood most of the day as far as Kuch and Spieth's drivers.

Kuch didn't play his best, but he sure doesn't seem to have any weaknesses.

Spieth looked the best all day, but that 8 on 8 (his 17th) really hurt. I was really impressed with his game. After seeing him in person, I expect him to contend in tournaments with windy conditions, he flights the ball very well.

You Americans really confuse me. Distances are measured in miles, yards, feet, inches etc. Volumes in gallons, ounces etc. Weights in pounds!

Where did this week have March in it? In [u]my[/u] book (call me ignorant, European or German) it started Monday, April 1st, 2013. That doesn't contain any March at all. Not a second, if you know what that is
