Indoor golf range in DFW area?

Hello,

just like the title says, are there any indoor golf driving ranges in DFW area other than PGA Tour Superstores in Plano? I'm located in Fort Worth and Plano is too much driving(100 miles round trip) for a 30min of usage.

As you all know, in a couple months the Texas heat will be too much for golf(at least for me). I wanna know if there are any indoor ranges that I can play during the notorious summer.

None that I know of unless it's one of the teaching facilities where you would have to be taking lessons. I'm looking forward to the warmer weather. Early morning and later in the evening are great times to hit the range and if I have to be out in the hottest part of the day I'm wearing one of those Aussie style soaker hats (purchased at the state fair) and my Frogg togg.

THanks for the replies guys. I guess there are no indoor ranges in DFW area. As for TopGolf, I checked out their site and it seems awfully expensive for practicing and it's more like socializing/eating place with a hint of golf rather than golf. Still sounds fun so I'm gonna head down to hang out sometime.

Update: I found one in Carrollton across from Spa castle and Office Depot. I'm going there this weekend and will update on price and overall experience.

You can go to golfsmith.. They have the same thing, but its more for trying out their clubs and just just messing around.

Leonard Golf Links in west Fort Worth is a great OUTDOOR facility...they are open till 10 in the summer so you can beat the heat by going after the sun goes down.

I use the PGA Tour Store in Plano off of US75 (less than 10 minutes from work). They usually ask me how much time I want, as they are never that busy, at least at the times I am there (either lunch hour 12:00 to 2:00 range, or after work from 6:30 onward). I usually just practice for about 30 minutes but I could do at least an hour if I wanted. They also have a small bunker/wedge area and of course a putting green, so you could mix this in in with hitting in the bays.

For living in FW I would definitely go with Leonard Golf Links. They have an amazing practice facility, the west side of the range also has a nice built-in covered hitting area that blocks the sun late in the afternoon...and if you look really hard, you just might recognize somebody in red hitting balls out of the anonymous tan building w/ garage doors on the SE corner of the range.

OP: Did you ever go to TopGolf? I've been to the one in Austin, so I imagine they are nearly identical

TopGolf is fun but after a couple of pitchers, you won't be practicing much.

Yeah top golf is for entertainment.. think Dave and Busters but with golf instead of games. Top Golf actively does not want people there working on their game/practicing.

I know this is an old post, but is there still an indoor range by Spa Castle?
