G20 Driver workable?

Hey everyone. I ordered a G20 driver (I got for a steal and couldn't pass it up) 10.5* with the stock stiff shaft and have had 2 range sessions with it so far. It is competing with my 07 TM Burner 9.5* stock stiff shaft. One thing I have definitely noticed over the last 2 range sessions is the spin rate and work-ability. Being a degree different I still hit them the same height. I was looking for a higher trajectory so I could increase my carry a little bit. My stock shot is a fade, not a strong one, maybe 6-7 yards. I can do that with the G20 with no problem, but when I need to draw it I just can't get the Ping to move. Moving the Burner is no problem at all so I'm assuming the shaft in the Burner is a bit more "spinny" than the Ping. I really want to like this driver but I don't hit it any further than my Burner and I'm having a hard time moving it right to left. I hope to get it on the course this week because things always change from the range to the course but it is a little bit of cause for concern. Has anyone else noticed this? Thanks in advance

I can move it a bit if needed, but certainly not as much as my Titleist 909D2 that I had previously.

The slight draw/fade is easy to do with the G20, but the hard hooks/cuts is much more difficult.

Theres one hole at Bryan Park (Champions Course #11) that calls for a huge cut and I just can't do it anymore with the G20.

Still, the G20 is one of the best drivers I've had in the bag.

I have a 9.5 G20 stiff Tour shaft shortened to 44". Not sure if it is the shorter shaft, but I can turn the G20 fairly well. Played at a course this weekend with a course loaded with dogleg lefts and was able to move it pretty good. Now it does not move as good as my old TM XD580 did, but those moves were the bad kind to me. The G20 was more of a gentle draw. But as I started getting greedy cutting the corners, I found myself a couple of times whipping my hands through impact and it getting too hooky for my tastes. So it can be done, but I do think the G20 likes to go long and straight the most.

Not the greatest for workability, but that's one of it's strengths. If you try working it by playing off the toe or heel - what you will usually get will just be pushes and pulls. I suspect it's due more to the weighting with the G20 - very perimeter like. Great driver but I'm dumping mine for my Amp Pro.

I can play a 10-15 yard draw when needed bjt I put a bassara 73 x5ct shaft on it which is a high spin shaft. It comes down to looking for a different shaft and also swing of course!
