Whats Causing The Slice?

I was watching Monte's video "Fixing a Slice and Hook, Re:New Ball Flight Laws" and googled "pull slice" to better understand the exactly type of ball flight and to determine what kind of slice I had and I stumbled upon the image below. After looking at the various ball flights I realized I have a straight slice (F).

 

Last year I worked extremely hard to fix my slice(was using an R5 up until this year) and since I received my new driver (R1) I have been really discouraged because, in the words of my best friend "I am bombing the ball down the middle of the fairway... 3 holes to the right". Whats worse is that during the fitting before i bought this I was hitting the balls dead straight.

 

I realize this is hard without a video so I will try to get one later this week or this weekend.

 

Currently settings are 3* closed, 10.5* loft.

 

EDIT - Just asked my friend what he thought the ball's flight path looked like this weekend and he said it was mostly Push Fade (I) but Pull (B) a few times which now that i think about it i did pull it twice that i remember. Also Ive hit a few pull fades since I have gotten this thing.

After some self analysis this weekend I can conclude that my own slice is coming from a takeaway that gets too Inside and by the time the club is at 9pm, the club head is already inline with my a**!

In my opinion, all of those fancy settings on an adjustable driver (the open vs closing of the face) are doing nothing but masking a swing issue.

Start with your GRIP. Where is it at? Is your left heel pad on top of the club? Is your wrist (snuff box) on top of the club?
2/3 knuckles showing in a mirror? There are LOADS of videos on YouTube to help.
I suggest Martin Chuck's video or Dan Whittaker's.

Next, check posture and alignment. Huge problems ensue when one of those are compromised.

I would sincerely look at adjusting that driver to square and working the problem back.
Video would definitely help!

do remeber that you dont hit the ball with your backswing, i do hit it with your downswing. Yes a proper backswing will probably help most weekend golfers but its not all end be all. You can have the best backswing in the world but if you downswing is trash, well your swing will be to.

With regards to grip, i have attached two pictures showing my left and right hand separately Sorry but no one else is here to take one with both hands on the club. The index finger of my left hand and the pinky of my right interlock. The thumb pad part of my palm, idk what else to call it, sits on top of my left thumb.

I am going to try to get to the range tomorrow.

When you slice, the clubface is open at impact. Period. This is because the wrists have rotated clockwise on the backswing more than they have rotated counter-clockwise on the forward swing. Anyone looking to finally fix a slice need not look past this fact.

Just saw your grip............Thats not helping. Turn your hands fully to the right.

Go to neutral or even open...

[/quote] I never really noticed it until you said something but I would definitely say my left hand is cranking down on the shaft while my right is ~60% - 70%... Left arm is stronger than the right in general as I do everything left handed except for sports related things.

Changed the driver back to neutral gonna see how it works tomorrow.

I'm fighting a push that comes out from hiding every 5 shots with my irons.

For my driver, I was fighting a slice for a good while before I began to keep my clubface neutral and reposition my ball.

This made ALL the difference (for me). While it's hard to tell what would work for you, I'd definitely give this a shot.

When I was slicing the ball, I had the ball too far forward in my stance in line with my front foot. Moving it back a few inches inside of my heel made them fly true and straight.
