DFW area courses conducive to walking?

Anyone have any suggestions for area courses that are good walking courses? Preferably in North Dallas or the north suburbs, but if something is really good I'm willing to travel a little.

I walked Grapevine Muni a lot. Some hills, but doable.

Thanks for the replies thus far, and to clarify, i'm not so concerned about hills, but rather how spread out the course is and how far it is from hole to hole. Some courses i've seen here don't allow walking at all, or not at certain times, due to this.

Both courses at Sherrill Park in Richardson are good for walkers. Old Course at Firewheel in Garland. Lakes course at Firewheel may not fit your criteria but I see many walkers there also.

I've actually walked the Lakes course at firewheel. There's a hole or two where the tee to green distance is a little far but it's doable. The old course is on my list to try someday.

Tenison Park (both), Cedar Crest, Golf Club of Dallas and Stevens Park. All are very walkable; make sure you fill up your water after 9 at Stevens.

In the burbs, Both at Sherrill & old/lakes at Firewheel work. Good luck north of GBT. Tribute isn't a bad walk. Only 3 long green to tee transfers with 8 to 9 being the only one over a minute walk...unless you leave your clubs left of 4 when going to 5!

I would recommend any Dallas munis to walk. Stevens is a bit of a challenge as it has actual hills and a couple holes are uphill. Pecan hollow, but only on weekdays. They have a no walking on weekends (at least in the mornings) policy. And second all the other courses mentioned. I think the easiest to walk is LB Houston aka Luna vista. Not the nicest course, but very walkable. Unless you are handicapped, I don't think anyone should ride a cart on that course. Of course I always have a push cart, so not like I'm hard core walking.

Check out Luna Vista. Probably one of the better under the radar courses up there.

I think Indian Creek Lakes is a pretty walkable course. Most greens are pretty close to the next tee box.

Plantation in Frisco is friendly for walkers and it's a shorter course around 6600 yards. My favorite club is the Tribute. It's easy to walk and has great scenery with the lake.

Used to walk Lake Park in Lewisville all the time. If it's still there it was an easy walk with good breezes coming off the lake.

Firewheel is very popular with walkers. I try to walk every time I play there. Sherill Park also has lots of walkers. Pecan Hollow on the other hand manages to piss off the walkers by not allowing it until after noon and also adding to the pathetic pace by allowing fivesomes. Shame too since the course is really nice since the remodel.

I'm not sure I would walk the Tennison Highlands (formerly West) course, the back nine has some seriously uphill holes. Stevens Park should be pretty walk-able. Lake Park on Lake Lewisville is definitely walk-able (and cheap).
