Golfnow.com question

I'm hoping this is the most appropriate forum for this post. I'm just returning to golf after some time off, and online tee times were never something I dealt with in my past as a golfer. When I search on golfnow.com it quotes a price and in almost all cases this price includes a cart rental. Is there a way to indicate I'm walking and get the cart fee removed?

True but the problem is that I've almost never seen a listing like that...95+ percent have the cart logo

You're not going to find many walking deals on any of the online booking sites including GolfNow. If you're that keen on walking, you can maybe try waiving your use of the cart when you check in. But many times the best online deals are during peak hours where some courses won't allow walking anyway.

as said GN will have tee times sans cart but I've only seen a handful of courses do it. Best bet might be calling the course, probably get a slightly better walking rate through the course opposed to GN's discount with a cart.

The only time I see walking rate is for back 9 which sucks. For some courses I play its actually cheaper for me to get the discounted rate with a cart rather than walking because if not having a resident card

When I get to the course I just tell them I want to walk and the course is happy with it that price is a lot cheaper inc cart

Golfnow doesn't like walkers

I didn't want to start a new thread about Golfnow, so I'm posting here...

It appears that GolfNow doesn't like negative reviews about their partner course. I played a "private" course that's open to public bia GolfNow. The reviews are very good on GolfNow, but I felt it was so so when I played. Someone also backed into my car in the lot and left the scene. I wrote an honest review of the course, and warned others to park away from other cars because of the high number of elderly folks that play there. I even wrote another review that doesn't even mention any references to elderly folks.

Unfortunately, GolfNow never published my review. How can we use their review system if they don't post all reviews?

I'm guessing it's mostly to do with the fact your issue about your car has literally nothing to do with their service or the actual course. If your review (even a bad one) consisted of issues with the course (greens, fairways, etc etc) they would've posted it.

And if you want to ensure as much as possible your car doesn't get hit, I think it's safe to say you should park at the far corner of the lot regardless if you're at a golf course, movie theater or shopping mall...or restaurant, or anywhere else one drives.

I've seen bad reviews on golfNow. I never trust online golf course reviews. Some hack (nothing wrong with being a hack) might lose a dozen balls on a course and tear into a course because it's a tough layout.

I have notice that some of Golfnow tee times are basically the regular green fee with free cart. So if you like walking, your not really getting a discount. You might be actually paying more if your declining the cart when u get to the golf course(paying for booking fee).

I use Golfnow from time to time. I used for today and I am playing a course this morning for $24 w/cart when their regular rate is $65. You can't beat that.
I like to walk also and in my area I have only seen two courses on Golfnow that post 18 hole walking rates. I play both of them. I always check the course's rates and what Golfnow is offering. If you hit the Hot Deal alot of times it is cheaper than the course's walking rates. I'll buy that and ask them if I can walk when I check in. Most courses have let me walk but a few of them have said if you want to walk then pay their walking rate. All the courses I play allow walking so I think that's their attitude towards the hot deal more than anything.
