Modus 3 Tour 120 Users. .......

What shaft did you come out of?

Are you completely satisfied with your decision?

 

I'm currently in DGR300 and while playing well, I wouldn't mind something lighter. DGSL is a brittle feeling shaft so not an option

 

Hitting 7 iron 150 on mid trajectory....

I loved them in my Ap2's. came from PX. They're the best feeling shafts IMO.

I cant wait to get them in my new set. I miss them, DGs300 for now.

Went from dgs300-px5.0 to modus 120 ss1x stiff. Feels like a ns pro with dynamic gold properties. Great flight and smooooth feel. Nspro 950 ballooned in the wind but the modus pierces through. I like the r300 better than the s300 and the sl didnt feel as good for me as well. I have a mid ball flight and a 160 7i.

went from kbs tour 120 to modus 3 tour 120, the modus set has a bit more feel then the kbs but they launch way to high. Its was my fault for trying to make them work.

Yea, flight control is predictable and does what I tell it to do. Anything else, I blame it on the terrain.

Custom ordered at d2. After swinging a standard stiff and the soft stepped stiff, just felt more control with the ss. Shafts too stiff makes me swing unnessary harder.

My 4 and 5 iron touch the clouds. No ones fault but my own, I built this set

Geaux.......are you losing massive distance or is the spin very high? Also what shaft flex in kbs and modus do you play? For someone like me looking for higher launch would you recommend this shaft? 7 iron about 150 carry with DG .....prior shaft was kbs tour regular. .....

no distance loss I am a digger/steep attacker, my 7 iron carry is 178 on trackman. Played KBS tour 120 stiff hard stepped once, tried to do the same with the modus ( hard step) and they just play weak to flex for me. If you are looking for higher launch I think modus would fit. If i had to rank DG, KBS, Modus in terms of launch from lowest to high it would be DG, KBS, Modus.

I have these shafts and love them. Smooth feel with a nice kick at impact. I play the stiff, but probably need them hardstepped or x flex next time. They play slightly soft to flex. They launch higher, but I like that as I can stop a 5 iron on a green within 5 feet of my ball mark. I don't need anymore distance, so I prefer knowing when my ball hits the green with any iron, it isn't going to roll too far.

I may not be any help but here goes anyways....i hit the ball pretty low carry 7i like 180ish. But the modus made a gigantic difference from dgx100 i feel like i can get the ball up much easier and land much softer now. People say it plays a little softer than stated flex but to me it just feels softer, my dispersion didn't get wackadoo and i go after it hard so i'm assuming it's stated flex.

Just grabbed a pair of irons from a fellow WRX'er with the Modus 120 TX shafts. Wow, these things are great. High ball flight but never seems to balloon. Stable and super shock dampening, feels like some graphite shafts I've tried. The 120g weight seems to fit me perfectly. Excellent!

Very similar to my experience. I play the x-flex at 120 grams (Adams Pro Gold heads) and can flight the ball easily high or low with the long irons and the short irons. In terms of feel, they're amazing. Stable and smooth. I was playing Aldila TGI-120s most recently and KBS-Tour and x-100 before that. But the Modus Tour-120 is the best feeling, best performing shaft I've every played. Highly recommend.

I found them to have horrible dispersion, but that was the X flex. Haven't tried the TX yet, but am def. game to do so. The 130's on the other hand...

Anybody know what the recommended swin speed is for the 120 Stiff I am at 88 mph for a 6 iron will that do?. Currently playing KBS Tour in Anser irons but those S55 are just so good looking was thinking about trying the modus shafts as I love the feel of the NS Pro's.....
