Cuccia69 - Scotty Cameron Headcover deal gone bad

guys,

just wanted to share, see if anyone has heard from this user or could help me get this resolved. i sent a message/offer to Cuccia69 regarding one of the scotty cameron headcovers he was selling in the link listed below. he accepted the offer, told me his paypal and i thought it was an easy-peazy transaction. i sent him the money 23 May 2013. i asked him the following day if he had sent it out, and as soon as he did if he could send me the tracking information. his next response was the only one i have recieved since, dated 30 May 2013 which stated he apologized for not getting it out as he was out of town for the memorial day holiday. (that's fine, i understand) however, i have since sent 5 different messages to him basically begging to get any response with no luck.

 

has anyone done business, know, or have spoken to this individual over the last few weeks? thanks to being a nice person, i gifted the paypal so i am out of options other than tracking this person down and getting a remedy the old fashioned way. thanks in advance guys, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to read this.

I just checked the cameron collector forum and he has not logged on there since 5/24.

What I find really strange is he did not list these for sale there.

Personally, I would just file a paypal claim and get it over with. It's been 2 weeks and apparent the guy isn't going to respond to you at this point.

Instead of blaming the buyer for "Gifting" the payment, how about we try to help him out instead? If you have any useful information on the seller, please post it here or contact the OP. Thanks.

actually guys the person has 6 feedback responses, so this was not the first transaction. for those bashing me for gifting, forgive me. and yes, i am a nice person thanks...i didn't use my CC to pay for this, no.

man I hate this. I will keep my eyes open for him here and the TCC forum. He has 1190 post there but only 2 for this year. Something tells me he has not done this on purpose.

FWIW gifting has absolutely nothing to do with being nice. Hopefully he gets in touch with you soon and you get your cover or money back

Did some deals with seller on here and at TCC back in '09/'10 and his communication was minimal at best. Never provided tracking info but items purchased arrived and as expected. I would pester him via his PP email and just ask that he confirm item has shipped. You most likely won't get tracking but he came through for me back then.... hopefully does the same for you.

Ah man bummer. Sorry didn't see the thing that he gifted it. Must have skimmed over that part. Sorry dude, you might be out on this. Unfortunately, you might have to chalk this up as a lesson learned.

We'll keep an eye out for this guy on the forum though. Do you have his email address? Maybe look for him on one of the social media outlets with it?

pretty much, yes.....it also means YOU pay the paypal fees.....and you cannot do any disputes if things go wrong.

Gifting a payment means that whoever is receiving the $ doesn't have to get hit by the PayPal fees. If you gift a payment you do not have any protection from PayPal if a deal goes south.

Always thought there were no paypal fees with gifting. I know if money is in your acct there is no fees and I think if it comes from bank acct there is no fees. Debit card may be the only way there is a fee with gifting

I mean, god forbid, but it's possible something has happened to the guy. Sounds out of character to me, especially since he's done business here before and on TCC, yet he hasn't logged back into either site since a certain date. Still kind of leaves you in the dark though. I'd just keep an eye out. I don't see this transaction ending here.

Who knows, he might have been a wanted man after some Memorial Day debauchery and is serving a cool 30 day sentence Good luck though!

I think that breaks down as follows:

Thanks guys=thank you for explaining gifting

Good luck with that sale=he hopes you receive info, the cover, it pans out in the end

hope everything is well=he hopes the seller is okay and not in jail, having a health issue, etc

Least that's how I think it should be interpreted.

Maybe you could post something on TCC and see if anyone has anything on him, as far as a way to get in touch with him and see what the deal is.
