Alright WRX, finally got the time to take pics of the sticks and post my WITB!

 

UPDATED 7/2013 (New 3 wood and new hybrid!!!)

 

 

 

I am an Assistant Golf Professional working on my PGA Apprenticeship down in South Carolina. I am a Masshole born and raised but I just couldn't pass up golf and work all year round here in the South! I am a 4 handicap and always hitting balls whenever I can. Love the game and teaching is something I am just starting to get into.

 

Enough about me here is the starting line-up... Lead off hitters first!

 

 

 

Driver: Titleist 909D2 9.5* w/ Accra Dymatch S2-65 M4 (Tipped to play closer to X flex)

She is a classy broad, tight fade bomber (Notre Dame Cover)

 

 

UPDATE! (coming soon...) Fairway: Callaway RAZR Fit 3 Wood w/ GD YS+

(Iliac Blue and Gold Tassle cover)

 

 

Hybrid: Wilson Staff DXi Hybrid 19* w/ Aldila Proto "ByYou" 95 X-flex

My love affair with hybrids continues. This bad boy was given to me by a former Wilson Staff "staffer". I took it out on the course one day and was sold. He gave it to me for a Yeungling and said enjoy! Really solid heavy feel to it that I am really liking.

Irons: Nike Split Cavs 4-PW w/ KBS Tour X

Solid irons, stripped the red paintfill for a cleaner look. Got them for a STEAL and they're performing nicely

 

 

 

Wedges: Vokey SM4 52*, Vokey Spin Mill 56*, Nike Victory Red V-Rev 60*

Setup works well for me right now, the Nike is my WEAPON for scoring. Stripped the red on it too, LOVE that thing!

 

 

 

UPDATE! (coming soon...) Putter: PING Karsten MyDay w/ Iomic Red Midsize grip

 

 

Bag: Sun Mountain three 5

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Couple changes could be made in the near future if the right deal pops up, but for the most part I am set as it is (yeah right!)

If anyone is ever in Myrtle Beach and is looking for someone to play with or somewhere to play PM me and we can get something going!

You are very right, I am both excited and dreading the day I go on staff with someone. I am sure I will manage fine but I do love playing whatever works, although I am partial to Titleist and Callaway and would be very happy with a bag full of either.

Thanks man, yeah I am a fan of the old school covers. If I can snag a Titleist Pom cover for a good price I definitely will, those look sweeeet!

Cool bag kid! Kinda reminds me of my bag a few years ago when there was 8 brands when you include bag and ball. Hit 'em good and rest assured, I'll hit you up if I can get that way again in the near future.

Thanks buddy, appreciate the bag love! Yeah, I consider myself a sort of "gun for hire" at the moment with the mixed bag. My head pro is Adams and our 1st Assistant is TM, and I could more than likely get on with either, but I am holding out for awhile maybe even until I get my Class A.

Definitely hit me up if you swing through the Beach, I can get us on some good tracks, just let me know!

I actually found some pom headcovers at PGASS, they look just like the cleveland one without the logo, the driver and wood cost 20.00 and the hybrid cost 13.00. Crazy thing is I went to the headcover makers website ( cant remember the name right now) and they sell them for like 35.00 a peice for all of them. Yeah i fell for the pom look too, think they just make the bag look more classy..

Are you talking about the "Old Skool" brand rugby covers? I do like those, but just not enough to pull the trigger

I have a Notre Dame mascot cover that I like to use and switch out too, but the poms are just sweet

Been looking for another #7 after I sold one. Btw look on craigslist down here. A couple,weeks ago some guy was trying to sell an Oban devotion for $80. He's had it up there awhile and will probably come down on price if he still has it.

Buddy of mine down here bought a set of fake AP2's from a guy on Craigslist and got juiced for almost $1000 in the deal... I will scope it out, never really thought about looking for golf gear on there

I have a big change coming in the mail! After a failed experiment with the Nike Covert (never even left the range, wasn't a fan of the feel but did love the look), I have a Razr Fit Extreme 5 wood coming.

Lets see if she can knock the TEE out of the bag!

I love the callaway fairway products. I went with the X hot but the Xtreme performed well too and I ended up with the Xtreme in the driver

Yeah I have hit it quite a bit through the demo clubs here at our shop. I might end up changing the shaft in it, but we will see. I was disappointed with the Covert Tour because it looked so sweet, but I just hated the feel. Felt like I was hitting with a block of wood, idk.

Alright, some major top end makeover for me! Check it out!!!

Picked up a PING G20 3 wood with the stock Tour X-flex, WOW! Definitely my new favorite club in the bag! She is awesome, gorgeous high ball flight from a 3 wood. So nice for the shorter 4's I am in love boys!

Also picked up a *BRAND NEW* Wilson Staff DXi 19* Hybrid with an Aldila Proto ByYou 95g X-flex. A former Wilson staffer hooked me up with this stick that was just sitting in his backup bag, all I had to do was by him a cold Yeungling after our round! Great deal, beautiful hybrid, loving the real solid thud I get out of it.

I am really liking it, might pick up another one if I can find a good deal or head only and try a different combo. The Wilson Staff was a sweet snag indeed, such a surprise at how much I like it!

I got an i20 and that thing is an absolute cannon. Put a low launch low spin shaft in there since I don't need a 3 wood off the deck to often and just murder the ball. Hit some of the furthest 3 woods with the i20. Slowly converting to all ping/titleist.

I am also finding myself giving PING my first look when I'm browsing used racks and online... I wish I liked the i20 irons I had, just never really got comfortable. I can't wait for the titleist 714s drop so I can snag a set of 712s!
