LH / tall vent ( taylormade, titleist , FJ,ecco)

just wanted to vent a little on how it sucks to be a left handed ,tall ,& big headed... maybe share some frustrations or guide me to a marketplace?

 

FJ- pure touch limited gove, sweet glove i tried on my right hand just to tease myself on how nice of a glove this is...not available in left hand :)

titleist- oil can wedeges not availabel in retail stores in dallas metroplex for LH players, right hand has 3 finished to choose from.

tileist -any way they can make there hats any smaller? good greif the L/XL fits me like a yamika..

taylormade -spider s "slant" putter not availabe to left hand it seams like, even trying to order direct through taylormade not avialble.

ecco- sweet shoes but only go up 12-13 in size? everyone carries at least to 14-15 why not ecco?

That's the way it has always been and the way it always will be.

Pure Touch gloves are way overpriced for what they are... plenty of lower priced gloves of equal quality.

Regarding the hats... Titleist can't be expected to cater for all sizes, especially if your head is freakishly enormous.

I understand being a fellow lefty such a limited choice especially on used club/bargains

I share your pain!

Here in Australia even Adidas and alike don't come in big size golf shoes. FJ has some models but they aren't that good for walking so always have to order my shoes from USA which makes the right size a pure guessing game. Same thing with golf clothes (and even Levi's Jeans). Can buy any waist size you can ever dream but only two lengths at most. 36 inch inseam is unheard of.

And when things like golf shirts grow from L to XL and XXL they only grow in width - not in length. So one get to choose between wearing a short and tight shirt or short and baggy shirt. In Singapore I was able to buy Adidas in Asian sizes which grow on lenght but not much in width.

In Singapore hardly anything was available for lefties except through special order which meant ridiculous costs (on already badly inflated prices) and looooooong waits. Australia is a bit better but here selling golf gear (like almost anything else) is a virtual monopoly (or duopoly at best) so one's options are rather limited.

Better not get into Australian prices... so fed up with paying massively inflated prices on everything. And the retailers don't even give the prices on the web site or by phone so one has to drive around like a maniac just to get an idea of how much one will be overcharged. Increasingly one can not order certain brands from the USA over the Internet.

I do actually envy you Americans as you have so many options and as consumers you also have means to hold retailers accountable for the stuff they sell you. Here in Australia once they get your money you are 100% on your own. And there is really no real choice as most markets are cornered by one or two big players who then use all sorts of archaic laws making parallel importing very hard to cement their dominance.

Did anybody mention yet that leftie clubs also have hardly any trade-in value?

I guess i'm a simpler person because I am a lefty too and none of that stuff really bothers me. There will always be a market for us lefty's and companies will always supply equipment for us, you learn to deal with it when you just accept the fact that you'll never play every Mizuno iron out there and you'll never play a Bridgestone etc. I had a teary moment there... ok, better now.

You know what? Today on the range was 6 of us hitting balls. I hadn't noticed until another guy showed up and yelled upon arrival "HAHAHAHA, you've got to be kidding me?" I thought this guy was crazy, I mean who yells at the range with maniacal laughter? he says "All 6 of you are lefty's and I am about to make it 7, wow! impossible!" -- everyone started laughing and was in awe at the fact.

Sorry to hear that. I had no idea lefty shoes were so difficult to find. Ha ha

Seriously I hear you on Ecco sizing. I'm a 13.5, or 14 depending on the maker and style. I do have several eccos in 47 that fit fine. However my Adizeros had to be a 14.

I am 6'4"

yeah I figured I will have to deal with the limited lefty options out there kind of sucks. But oh well. Still enjoy the game, and will continue to order stuff online crossing my fingers that it will fit and suit to my preference and likeings..

Agree with the titleist hats, those things fit really small. I usually have to try on all the L/XL they have to find one that fits, and sometimes still can't find one! Really frustrating when I want to buy a hat but it fits like a it was made for a 9 year old. Mini rant over...

I wanted the LH oil cans as well. Had to get the tour chrome...will probably change the color of them when I get some free time.
