Not that I saw. They were all beat to absolute crap and I thought the prices were still pretty high. The best 'deal' I thought I saw was Cobra Amp Cell (non-Pro) for $130 I think. Two regulars and one stiff shaft is what they had in the bags at their Schaumburg, IL location. None of them had less than 3 sky marks on the crowns, faces looked awful.

EDIT: I'm sure there's a gem in there somewhere, but nothing that really caught my eye. I picked up an XTD Super Hybrid (I think that's what it was anyway) last year that had maybe been hit once for about $100 if I remember right, but that was at PGASS, not Golfsmith.

I'm happy to hear this as it's usually a great sale. The only bummer is, the last time I was at the PGASS, they didn't have any Anser driver heads on the demo rack anymore. That's probably the only thing I'd really be looking to get, but we'll see what happens.

Not sure the details about this demo sale, but the last one they were blowing all the demos out just to get new ones of the same models for whatever reasons. They had some sweet deals, and quite a bit of X flex. I picked up a great condition RBZ Tour with TP HD x flex for 99.

Edit: I know they also didn't have a problem with changing shafts out for different head/shaft combos if you wanted as long as they were both demos

What?! Who has a TPXHD as a demo shaft? LOL. That's a great score either way you look at it though. It's good to know though as then you might be able to get a head in good shape with a shaft you like that might be in a head that's beat to crap.

Typically, most of the X-flex demos are usually in good shape. It's the ones in stiff that are usually beat to all get out.

Yeah it was a good score, it had the R11s graphics on it but I paired it with the RBZ Tour head and only paid 100 bucks! I still have the shaft in a RBZ 10.5 head that my buddy is hitting at the moment but we will see if he keeps it. My SLDR isn't going anywhere anytime soon so he can keep it for awhile haha

AHHH hopefully they'll have a g25 or anser driver head. Should be out of the market for a fairway by that time. Also may look at hybrids.

Well it's better for us. Say we have work, school, or whatever and we can't get to the store on Monday until the evening. There'll be more options for us to choose from

I was going to update this with the same thing. My buddy works at the Myrtle Beach location and said they weren't aware of any upcoming demo sale. Weird?

I would be thoroughly tweaked if I came into work one day and my manager dropped that sale on me. I can't say I ever had a demo sale like that but I know it gets super busy and the store gets thrashed by customers. I imagine they'll get a decent heads up

I already have it blocked on my calendar to take a trip in there the day it starts, right when they open. Fortunately, I work across the street from one, so it should be pretty easy to swing by.

I'm in the market for a 5 wood/2 iron hybrid to replace my Titleist 906F2. A bunch of non-Ping staffers bagged the Anser hybrid and it's discontinued, but the stock swingweight is D1 and there doesn't seem to be a good way to fix that.

What about the Adams Super LS? It's actually 0.75* longer in the 17* than the Anser but it's only D2, so maybe I could throw a 3/8" extension on the Anser to get it up do D3 or D4.

Just got back from the Plano, TX location (75 and Accent Dr). I got there around 10:45am and was probably about 15-20 people looking over the tables with Demo clubs. I was mainly looking to pick up a 50* wedge but they did not have any. I'm guessing someone had already picked them up as there were only about 6 wedges left in total. Some other prices that I can remember:

[*]$499 for a 4-pw + a wedge + s wedge Rocketbladez irons - had graphite and steel
[*]$99 for a Stage 2 3 wood

Boat loads of drivers, 3 woods, and hybrids, but struck out on the wedges.

I already went to the Schaumburg store and scooped up an Anser driver. 9.5* w/ Ahina X for $150. Can't beat that. Head was in good shape too, no real marks to speak of. Wrench and headcover included, not that it's a big deal, but good to know.

As for what models, they have a TON of stuff from TM, Ping, Callaway, Adams, Nike, Cobra, TEE, etc. Prices are of course solid. Some of the clubs look like they've been dragged behind a car for a few hundred miles, but most of them are in pretty good shape. I didn't spend too much time there as I knew it would get ugly if I did. They had everything from drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, iron sets, and maybe a few wedges, though I don't remember seeing them specifically.
