Am I missing something? All the OP asked for was some information about renting a house out for the 2015 Open. Was that somehow bragging? What's the deal?

I think the pancake house was safe...... it was the ground in the church parking lot at 5am before the pancake house that left a little to be desired !!!!

I was referencing another thread called "humble brag" where the op talks about gambling with no money and winning, search it out its worth reading. However there is something to be said for wanting to rent out one of his parent's many cabins.

Ok I like the effort on your part but I think it would be hard for you to get a hold of the player personally. Typically athletes will have their agent contact a company that specially does things this. When someone moves, signs with a new team or gets traded a company like Sports star relocation or Relosport has the resources to find a house apartment etc for the athlete in any city they may be going to. So I'd say check out these companies or ones like them, contact them tell them what you want to do and the they will have your place as an option. I personally don't think the usga will do anything for you, they have nothing to do with where the player decides to stay if they are renting a house for a week.

I am new to Pinehurst, but I have heard from a few neighbors that we should contact the real estate agency advocated by the club, if we want to rent our house for next year's US Open. I would call the club and ask them. From what I hear, you have to move out all of your personal stuff. I would probably call the club where the tournament is being played and find out if they are affiliated with a real estate company that handles that kind of thing. It may not be one of the players that rent your house though. Hope this helps.

If I was a pro, I'd much rather stay in a nice hotel. Staying in someones house is awkward at best. The only reason I can think of doing this is the course is no where near appropriate accommodations.

Actually, the course is a ways away from appropriate (for a tour pro) accommodations. If there is one within 6 to 8 miles, I don't know of it. I would imagine there will be several people renting out their places when the us open comes to Chambers.
