Been a while, I have actually had some time to work on some stuff. I have been adding different pieces and taking some away just really experimenting a lot lately. Took these today. I have a good idea which way I want to go this year and what I am going to work on. Still a lot of things I am working out, but things are getting easier with some changes I made and have seemed to be ingrained now.

Look more centered/extended at the top on the FO.

 

This is the main thing I thought he needed to be doing. Sets up the rest of the swing.

Heath let that left knee come in on the backswing. Would help free up your turn and give ya some more speed when you get it external on the downswing.

I warmed up a little and took it straight to #10 tee, one of my more difficult fairways to hit. Bang, both straight down the pipe. I literally hit this fairway about 15% because the way the hole sets up for me. Hitting it 2 for 2 is like me hitting the lottery. All the way around the course, fairway after fairway. Couldn't be happier with it.

 

Honeymoon phase. She'll be laying around the house in sweats next week. :)

 

I need to make an appointment and get fit and order mine. Dangit.

I have quit tinkering with my swing now and have decided to stick with what works for me. This swing is much more consistent and I know where it is going through the bag. I used this swing from Aug to Dec then messed around for a while with some stuff and decided to go back to what works best for me. This swing didn't shoot above 74 for me for 4 months and when I tried to go in other directions I never shot better than 75 for 2 months. I want a swing built around my miss not my best shots. My miss with this swing is predictable and playable.

Think we can all be guilty of chasing an idea that we think could help take us to the next level, when infact it can often make us worse. Sounds like your game is great shape heading into this season.

This is the grail! I'm really close to that place.

 

There's a guy who posts occasionally here - bargolf - a master of putting. One of his core ideas is just settle in on an approach and learn how it works, and repeat it over and over. Don't 'improve' it but 'master' it is how I'd summarize his idea.

 

That pretty much sums it up. It frees you to think about scoring.

Haven't posted a swing in a long time. I don't video it much anymore but I have been messing with some stuff and thought I would see what it looked like. Hitting it better than I ever have so I wanted to maybe be able to go back to this in the future when it goes south off the rails and crashes and burns.

 

Got a new bulldog too since these posts. He is a little over a year old and he is an absolute hoss cat. Huge bulldog and the best dog I have had probably.

Bulldogs are the sweeest dogs. They dont even care when babies yank their tails and ears and whack them.

My friend has one that sees someone he knows, runs as fast as his stubs will take him and plops down on his back ready for love.

Of the hundreds of swings I have seen here, this one looks the most like mine, circa now. I'm a little smaller, but not much (girth wise) and have about the same flexibility, seems like.

 

The things that are key/challenges for me are: early wrist hinge on plane (you do that a little better than me), keep width (no r arm collapse) and depth (weight on r heel). These are my core practice focus. Your swing do these about the same as my best swings. From there, lead with l arm, butt of club 90* to target line (feel, not reality).
