ryder/presidents cup style match play WRX event.. City vs City

with the presidents cup on i was thinking it would be fun to do a ryder/presidents cup team match play WRX event.. i was thinking Team City vs Team City.. Just a thought to get a good weekend game.. .. anyone?????

 

Im from Houston so the First Cup would be Team Houston vs ??????

I would be in. Although I would be on the Houston team so I guess that doesn't help in setting up a team from other Texas cities. lol

Sounds like a great idea and depending on the weekend I would be in. I am also from Houston,so all the other cities are behind the 8-ball.

I am still hoping we can make something like this work. I think what we need is more visibility. I am sure there are a bunch of GolfWRXers in Texas but maybe lots of them barely visit the regional sub-forum sections. I wonder if other cities have their own GolfWRX facebook groups?

i did a search on facebook for golfwrx besides the main golfwrx we are the only other page that comes up... im going to post in another section... brandon do you want to try TT..

Sounds fun, I'm in!!! Might be tough to find another city (what are you thinking, meet 1/2 way or something) to take off and do this being it's not local, but would be great if we could put something together. Might even have to think about a North vs South Houston, or East vs West, or Harris County vs Ft Bend/Montgomery, something like that. Just an idea if the city thing doesn't work out.

The Falls in New Ulm would be a great place to set it up (should be close to 1/2 way), or somewhere around Brenham, but I'm not too sure they have any decent courses (I see the one right off 290 all the time, but not so sure about that one), Brenham CC is supposed to be nice, but that's a member only course.

Matt just letting you know I am working on building up a DFW GolfWRX Facebook Group so we can get this Ryder Cup match planned out. Hopefully it starts picking up ground in DFW and we can get something scheduled for 2014.
