Current USGA is a 12.1

Low round is 73 on a par 70 (home course) on that round i was even for the front and 3 over on the back. That was during match play event where i putted everything out.
I even had a birdie putt on 9 to go under par for a 9 for the first time.

But this year alone i have shot round of 74 and 79.

I've got both Sturridge and Suarez on my fantasy team. They have been money since Suarez came back from his suspension. I just have to hope he doesn't do anything stupid for the rest of the season and get himself suspended again.
Sturridge has been pretty prolific since he arrived at Liverpool, but they haven't played together all that much until now. It's scary good, and when Coutinho comes back, it could be all kinds of awesome.
Have you ever played fantasy soccer? This is my first year to try it out and it's quite fun, although the scoring is a little odd (especially for defenders). The EPL site runs the league I am in and seems to work really well.

I am pretty set so long as Suarez doesn't decide to go all Mike Tyson again and bite someone.
I haven't done fantasy soccer. I burned out on the NFL from playing fantasy football a couple decades ago, so have been avoiding that with the other sports. :)

Agreed on Suarez. He needs to keep it together, and if he does, this team could do some interesting things. At which point, Suarez would get his Champions League football. :pimp:

GolfWrx has more sandbaggers than the Army Corp of Engineers. This is ludicrous. Like all of these guys can be that 84,000 to 1 guy. Sure, Yeah right.
You do know there's a difference between asking thousands of people for their best round out of what is probably thousands of rounds and 1 guy in 1 specific round right?
Do you want to explain to the guys like myself that have done it more than once how it is impossible again? Has your handicap never fluctuated or gone down? How does a person go from a 15 handicap to a 9? Has there never been a golfer in history that has gone from a 20 to a 10? Do all handicaps stay exactly the same forever?

Are you serious?
Show me where I said that. I never said that. Nobody did. Are you honestly telling me that if you came up against someone in a match and they shot 10 shots below their handicap that you wouldn't even contemplate the thought that their handicap might be dishonest? Also, if you actually read my posts in the other thread and didn't just assume that I was saying "that's impossible he must be cheating, no one could ever shoot -10", you would see that I listed in one of them some examples of how such scores could be legit. For example, when I first started playing, my first handicap was 35. Then at the end of each year after that I was 25, 14 and then 7. While I was on that downward slope, I reckon I probably shot -10 more often than I didn't. In the junior tournaments at my club, you had to be low 60s or mid 40s stableford to even have a sniff of winning.

And, speaking as someone who has been through rapid improvement and also rapid handicap increase, I can assure you that someone who is a 15 at the beginning of the year and a 12 at the middle of the year (under the UK system) is far more likely to be exhibiting improvement and shooting scores lower than their handicap than someone who is a 9 at the beginning of the year and a 12 at the middle of the year.

You really should ask the right question too. The right question is "what's the most you've ever shot below your handicap in a tournament round and what was your handicap at that time?"

As of today's revision, a 4.7 (low was 3.2 a couple of months ago). My lowest round was a 73 last Sunday. I was 1 under going into 18 after birdies on 15, 16, and 17. I managed to top my drive, hit my second shot into the bushes, punch out for #3, hit #4 on the very front of the deep two tiered green (with the pin in the back), and somehow two putted for a crowd pleaser of a double. Previous best was a 74. It was my lowest round ever, and I wasnt that happy about it after #18.

My 2013 season is over as a 16.1. Lowest career wise is 81 (I had a triple on the 4th hole too!). Lowest round of 2013 was a 89, my last round of the year in June. Ended on a high note! LOL

Don't have an official Hcp, but would say around a 4, short game holds me back a lot. I tend to have 2 or 3 bad holes that kill my rounds.

I'm a 12 handicap, my best round been 79, shot that twice this year. However, one course I play often, I usually play the back 9 at even, or -1. The main reason is I usually have to hit irons off the tee, and the green are pretty flat. I can easily say, that if my putting would improve, I could become a stratch golfer. My putts alone count for 36-38 stokes a round. But the days where I'm putting well, I'll putt right at 30. I always keep my stats, fairways, greens, putts. So I know where my problem is. However, I can attest, that everyone can have a great round. However, there a very slim chance, or repeating those days over and over. So I believe that a 12 handicap can be + 1 in 13 holes one day. But I highly doubt he can do it 2 days in a row.

Handicap - Estimated +3ish

Low Round (Tourney) : 63 (-9) @ 6900yds
Low Round (Friendly bets) : 60 (-10) SHORT golf course, 6000yds back tees

I would much rather play all of my rounds with friends and shoot like crap and have fun, then play in a tournament and be five under and be a grind.

My handicap varies from 5 to 9 in a season. I play around 55-60 rounds a year, and sometimes i have a hot streak of 5-6 solid games in a row where i shoot below 75. Then, i could have a hard time breaking 80 for the next 5-6 games.

My best round ever = Even Par 72. This year 73 (+1)

My best nine hole ever = 34 (-2), 3 weeks ago .

On an other note, my worst game this year = 89. Boy I love golf...!!

Differential of 16 shots between on/off day. That's pure consistency!!..!!!

14 and trending down. My best for 18 holes is a 81 I think but I play 18 only about 10% of the time if not less, I usually play 9.

My best score for 9 is an even par 35 and a couple of +1's. I can get pretty hot now and then.
I started playing more frequently and keeping a handicap about 1,5 years ago, so I have never been lower. I started this season as a 27 though. Goal for next season is reaching single digits.
I dropped from a 26 to a 16 in one summer. That part is way easier than dropping the five more you will need to be a single digit handicap so don't get discouraged. Work hard and you will definitely succeed.

Latest GHIN update puts my index at 13.9 which is about half a stroke lower than it's ever been before. That makes my course index 15 from my usual black tees and 16 from the longer white tees. As nice as that seems, I don't really know that I can consistently play to a 15 and have a feeling it will drift back up some once the cold weather arrives.

You're not supposed to consistently play to your handicap, it's designed to represent your potential. Generally speaking, of course.

It's said you should play to your hdcp about 25% of the time. Another generalization. It's a recurring theme. ;)

For those who are remarkably consistent in their scores, that chance number changes, of course.

Current handicap - 1.3
Lowest round - 64 in club championship (6 under), 66 in a bouce game 2 years ago (6 under)

Also, how many strokes has your handicap varied over the course of a year - very little, as explained in another topic the UK handicap system results in slow handicap change. For category 1 players, you get 0.1 off each stroke below handicap, 0.1 added if you score 2 or more over handicap or no change if you score on handicap or 1 over. Typically my handicap will hardly move over a season because I'm pretty consistently between level par and 2 over. This year I dropped from 1.9 to 1.3

What is your best through 9 holes? 5 under last week

Currently about an 8
Lowest cap was a 2
Lowest rounds were 69, when I was a 2
Shot 70/71 a lot when I was a 2
Shot under par for 9 holes a bunch but only 2 to 3 under max
I don't birdie a lot of holes even when I was a 2. I chip and putt up a storm when playing well. Save a lot of pars. I stay away from anything over bogey. Hardly ever take doubles or worse. I play boring golf.
