Okay Ags...someone on here HAS to be in the know....what is the reopen date for the campus course?

Any chance someone can set up a mini WRX outing after it opens. I'm sure we could get a pretty good turn out.

Looks like October 26 is the day. I will message Fish & see if he can set us up a foursome.

It's been open...had a soft opening for the men's & women's golf teams. The course has already booked some tournaments; one is on this Friday for the Sports Mgmt Reunion. The course is in great shape, awesome greens, and a nice layout. I'd encourage playing soon before too much traffic & winter...Gig'em!

I played there last last weekend, and all I can say is WOW. The course is a million times better then when I played it as a student a couple years ago. The greens are probably the best I have ever played on. They are firm ad fast. I heard they were running at an 11.5 opening day. I had balls rolling 30 feels when they hit the green and left no pitch marks, even when I had full wedges in from the fairway.

As for the rest of the course, it's in great shape. Not too tough, but a fair challenge. It gets a bit tougher when the wind was blowing. If you really want an amazing experience, play during a time the Ags have a home game. We teed off around 2pm on Saturday and you could hear the roars from Kyle field, it sent chills down my spine.

My only complaint is the lack is distance markers, I was basically pacing everything from the 150 and 100.

Overall, this course is great and easily worth the 60 bucks.

$60? Ouch.. really enjoyed the $17 walking rates when I was there a few years ago. I'm sure it's nice!

Everyone that plays it says it's really nice, I haven't made it out yet, they require you to have a cart Fri-Sun...(I prefer to walk). The rates seem pretty HIGH, it is a public course after all.

When I drive by I rarely see too many people out there, I guess that is nice that it's not crowded but it just seems really high on the price.

Since I'm no longer a student (class of '99) I guess I fall into the "general public range" Mon-Thur to walk is $34, Fri-Sun (cart required) is $59 before tax.

Bryan Muni is $10 to walk Mon-Fri and after 12pm Sat-Sun still $10 to walk.

Briarcrest where I'm a member is also semi-private, it cost less than the campus course and I think it's a great course.
