Anger???? Where do you get that from???? It's laughable. Not making up numbers.....just quickly went to wikipedia and added it up. Used the same method for all three players so if I goofed I goofed. The simple fact is any comparison between Tiger and these two is a joke.
The comment you got so worked up about is below. I've made the important word stand out for you since you missed it originally.

"Tiger's the third best player in the world now. Scott/Stenson HUGE gap TIger."
I wish the internet would transmit emotions better. First I'm angry. Then I'm all worked up. Neither one is true. I was mocking a laughable ridiculous statement. Its an internet golf forum. Get over yourselves if you get angry or all worked up over anything here.
You are yet to give a reason why it is a "laughable ridiculous statement" though. You only brought up career wins, which had nothing to do with the post.

Oh well, it's not the original posters fault Scott/Stenson have combined for 8 wins in the last 8ish months, when Tiger has 1 in the same period.

Adam has 4 wins, Stenson 3, and Tiger 5 for the entire season, Deasy must be just confused. I know he mentioned last '8ish' months, but in that timeframe Tiger had 2 wins, and Scott and Stenson 3 each.

Anyway, on to golf, I'd rather marvel at Adam Scott right now as he's just about to win Australia's triple crown. Come on, no way he's blowing a 4-shot lead in the final round with his premier ballstirking. I guess the feat has been accomplished before and that was by Robert Allenby in 2005. Has anybody else done it?

Not confused at all. Just including all wins (I have been told on here plenty of times in the past that all wins count equally and I have been convinced :derisive: ). Since '8ish' isn't precise enough, I will revise it to 7.5 months. Heck, I'll revise it to 4 months.

You aren't seriously counting a 4-man field event as equal to the Players?? You're better than that I know it.

No, Adam is trying to become only the second player to do it. And I don't care how weak-ish the fields may be, it's a great accomplishment.

They are 2 of my favorite golfers so whoever wins will be great BUT I think it's more important for Rory to win. I think golf needs Rory back to his winning ways. Who gives a crap about the money Nike pays him. I just want a 2014 season with Scott, Stenson, Rory and Tiger playing great, with some support from Phil, Rosey, Sergio and Westwood.

rory is just one behind, I would hate to see him win. Rory has nice swing but looking at his face and that 20million contract a year from nike makes me wanna throw up.

Multimillion dollar contracts are very common in most sports. I am sorry to hear this specific contract has affected you so negatively.

Scott blew it. Rory clutch on the last for the win.

Scott had loads of chances to put Rory away but couldn't close it out. Scott left the door open and Rory put him to the sword like the champion he is. Rory made some clutch par saves down the stretch while Scott missed easy birdies. This is certainly the one that got away for Scott. He will be gutted.

Tragic loss for Stevie Williams.
Stevie will be fuming. He couldn't have done any more to put his man in a position to win. Scotty really let him down. He must be getting sick of consoling his man after letting big tournaments slip. Didn't happen on his previous bag.

Great job Rory! He had just as many birdie opportunities as Adam. Clutch putts on 17 and 18 but he missed plenty earlier. The 17th was the turning point. If Rory missed and Adam made it would have been a 3 point cushion, stroll down 18 for Adam.

Have to say GREAT golf by both Rory and Adam -it really was a great ball-striking exhibition.

I think Rory made more putts in that inside 12 feet. Scott missed nearly all of them, some after seeing Rory sink them from further out on the same line. Agree 17 was pivotal. It looked like best case scenario was a 2 shot lead for Scott after Rorys first putt left him still outside Scott. Rory making that put enough pressure on Scott to make him miss. Matchplay at its best.

Yeah, no matter how big a year 2013 was for Adam, he'll always be disappointed to end it this way.

There was a moment early in the round when Adam, leading by four, stuck one close for a great look at birdie while Rory missed the green and his ball rolled back down into the fairway, leaving him a delicate 35 foot chip. We were looking at a possible two stroke swing and a six shot lead for Adam.

But Rory got up and down, while Adam missed his five foot birdie putt. Rory then went birdie-eagle and turned this into a dogfight.

Adam missed so many makable putts, he should've walked away with it. But that's golf. It was a very entertaining watch.

Scott had his chances and frankly had some fantastic shots tee to green, the shot into 18 aside which was maybe 2 foot long from where it should have been. Flat stick let him down though.

Rory played like a winner, scrambled fantastically and got the putt that counted. You could sort of sense it coming when Scott missed his chances, especially on 16 and 17.

Fantastic event, the organisers and sponsors couldn't have asked for any more, looked like they were 30 deep at least around the final green with hundreds of others scattered up the 18th fairway following the last group.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WHY WHY WHY. ADAM what kind of chip was that?
I could see that happening in slow motion.....you could just tell that he'd fly that chip over. So disappointing to lose in that fashion after having countless opportunities to put it away on the previous 4-5 holes.

Wow, congrats to Rory what a phenomenal final round. This is his first win in a year and I expect him to win a few more now in 2014.

I guess I was wrong in my assumption earlier, it sounds like Scott did have a poor putting round and his ballstriking was not enough to beat a charging Rory.
His putting was pretty good but they just weren't dropping today. Any other day, would have have been 6-7 under.

To be fair to Scott if you had of said to him before these events here you'll get two firsts a third and a second plus win the World Cup nation event he'd probably have taken it. It could have just been a victory lap for him but its a sign of the new Scott that he's been easily the best player in these Aussie events after a massive year for him when he probably could have been winding down for the year. I'm sure he'll regret not getting the triple crown but overall his time down here has been a massive success. Can't think of anything like this since the heyday of his selachian hero Greg Norman, though Tiger's sojourn out here a few years back, right before his ex-wife chased him with his own golf stick, is sort of closeish in terms of how its captured public attention in Australia.

Scott is here to give something back to the Oz tour and share his success and green jacket with his fans. Shows what a class act he is. He just seems to be a fantastic guy all round. No bs about him, what you see is what you get.
