Can't remember for sure, but I think my 54* was 24* of bounce and my 58* had 27* of bounce. Could play almost any shot I could think of until the ground got very hard, then just had to change my style a bit and pick it more. Got fit into DG Spinner shafts but actually lost yardage and created a large gap with the stronger loft of my XHP PW being 45*. will be reshafting them over the winter to S400, have PX7.0s in my irons, and have matching in a Cally forged set, but its too much.

Relatively low for me. 18* in all three. During the fitting, I originally started off with the spinners but thought they were too heavy. Then went to the oziks, but I wasn't in love with the look or the up charge. Ended up with the UST hi-spin made for edel and I love them. Only change I can think of would be adding the edel pitching wedge.
On a side note, I too lost a little yardage on the transition from XFT's to edels. So in retrospect I would think through my gaps a little more and go stronger. The fitter said to pick the highest lofted club I wanted and then space it from there. So I went 59.55.51. Sounded good with a 47*PW which I have. Should have gone 57.53.49 I think for a little more playability out of the GW

Hstead and I discussed these at a pretty good length prior to his purchase.

I headed to Congressional just over a month ago for my wedge fitting. I had been playing TVD's for over six years, since I originally had them on staff. Was fit for them and they did their job…however over the years they performed less. Very difficult to use the bounce properly.

At my fitting, I didn't even want to hit full shots. I went to the practice green and moved EVERYWHERE. Went through numerous heads and shaft combo's.

Ended up going with the 51, 55, 59 combo, all in the driver grind. Had Neil do some special work to all of them, and then do a torched finish…which turned out a beautiful gold color. I'll try and follow up with some pics eventually.

Only spent a little time pitching here and there, but taking them on the course for the first round on Wednesday. See if they can earn their price tag from my competitor's wallets!

The 8620's spin is the same as the SM5's from my experience, both great wedges.

Can anyone compare the Renegar and the Edel DGR (digger grind)?

Similar, but the Renegar is more refined. The Edel plays with more bounce and a higher leading edge in the open position. The Renegar has less effective bounce and is not well suited for diggers on full swings.

Based on some research today...It seems like your post should read, "Edel Vs SCOR & Renegar"
It appears that Edel has incorporated some designs of both SCOR/Eidolon and Renegar/Solus wedges into their line.
Anyway, just an observation.

I love the Scratch setup that ive gone to for past two seasons. I have the 50 degree gap, and 60 degree lob wedges in the 8620 series, and the 56 degree in the 1018. The 1018 is softer, but i actually like the feel of the 8620's better around the green. I use the digger/driver grind, but they have a sweeper and a slider grind as well if you pick the ball clean with no divot. Consistent distance and spin for me with Bridgestone 330 rxs balls. Like them way more than Vokey,Mizuno, solus or cleveland models that i've tried. 8620's are $69 a piece on Rock Bottom golf.

Are you happy you went with different grinds on your two wedges? Prefer one vs the other?
I have the same grind edel 58, and was just curious.
I'm assuming you open the 58 more often and hit square on the 54 usually?

Apex, you are correct, although I do open the 54 some but not often. I like the 54 the best really. I have never really used a 52/53/54 around the greens all that much in the past because they just did not work real well for me. I have always carried them, but used them on full shots and some around the greens when I had room. I only used those lofts on lower shots when I had green to work with. The Edel 54 is my favorite, way easy to open and flop if I want even though the 58 is better at flop shots. Point being, the Edel 54 is the most versatile wedge I have had so it is my favorite now.
