Found these unique ferrules in local shop.......thought they would look great next to the NIppon Tour Modus 3 Tour 120 shaft.........

Feels like a plastic coated with a chrome cover.........the guy has them in black also!

As you well know........SMMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTH! Haven't gotten to the course with them but I've swung the whole set and just pured each one......

Nothing feels better IMO! I got 1 round in with mine. Could be four more months before I get them out. Hopefully I get down to Arizona this winter.

Do you mean it has the launch/spin of KBS with the consistancy/accuracy of DG? I am really curious about the Modus but none around here to try (not even in a Titleist cart). Am looking at Pxi 6.0 as well to replace DG-S300, would appreciate your thoughts.

Yes with smoother feel.......some won't like the sensation compared to dgs300 but a kbs feel without the counter-balanced part.......only hit pxi in 5.5 so can't make a fair comparison. ......pxi is a good shaft but dispersion isn't as tight for me and that could be a weight issue too

I can't believe that titleist doesn't have them in its cart. They had them in the 712 and 714 carts here in MN.
The modus is so smooth that many people think they have to go up in flex. Not as heavy as the DG with better dispersion then the PXi and DG.

Thanks. I found the Pxi 6.0 to have a much tighter dispersion than the 5.5 when I tested them. I am having one installed in a spare MP-67 head for further testing but it's taking a long time (shop installed a PX by mistake first time). Not many have compared to Modus to KBS in terms of feel - I have tried the KBS Tours and C-Tapers and absolutely detest them, which is why I hesitate to try them...

I booked a (free) Titleist fitting when the 714's came out, expecting to try the Modus, but not to be, no reason why. I know they took the Steelfibers out of their bag due to the upcharge price (if people want to pay it...?) but I wouldn't think the Nippons would be that much, especially compared to the Pxi.

The smoothness is intriguing, and the weight is what I am looking for. Did you manage to try the Modus in S and X flexes before deciding?

You could probably PM Pure745 if you don't get any answers on the X. I believe he has a set with the 120's and 130's in them.
