Golf broadcasts will be pretty boring if all these are banned. Some of these add a lot of color so I will look forward to hearing Faldo's "trundle on down" and a putt that was "poured in". Of course some are much better than others.

I feel like any time that someone on tour has a great tournament putting, ball striking, driving, etc., all we hear on the weekend is how he is "one of the best we have ever seen at _______" or "this is one of the greatest performances we have ever seen".

They can't all be classified that way.

Not heard often, but still too often, "He can really golf his ball." I don't like fairway metal either. I'm for tradition even if you can find technical incorrectness. It's really not just a fairway metal is it? It should be called a tee and fairway metal. Like someone said a while ago they aren't irons, they are steels.
