Lookout - Phil's Got a New Driver For 2014 (lower spin rate) Merged

Has anyone seen this driver or a prototype? I hope this is accurate and not a Cally commercial. Come on Phil. Play like you did in AZ, Scotland and at The Open in 2013. I want to see another green jacket and claret jug.

 

The Open in 2013 was insane. Henrik Stenson had it all locked up and then Phil played amazing golf on the back 9.

I'm pretty sure he said the EXACT same thing when he won last year with the RFE. 1 month later it was out of the bag and he had the Phrankenwood. Cmon man....

I think its great Phil sells what he's contractually agreed to sell, but for all the guys on here who wonder 'Why does everyone switch equipment all the time looking for the magic combo??' EXHIBIT A!

And again, there's NOTHING wrong with that, but if ever someone was selling snake oil, this is it. When Phil swings well, he wins. When he doesn't, he put a 3 wood in the bag and still contends bc he's insanely talented, but to put commercials like the one above out there or do interviews touting how great this new driver is....thats why we have a 50 page BST boys....gotta love it

I totally agree this is just a PR stunt. I love Phil but every time he puts spins on a new club whether it's a new driver or phrankenwood, I try to block it all out.

To be fair, the dude is NINTH all time in Tour wins...

Bottom line is he's never truly been rock solid with the driver in hand. Like many of us, gets a bit of confidence with something new(real or imagined) and runs with it...

She DOES have shoes on. That should make it A-O.K.! Plus she's holding a rod or staff of some sort. I can't seem to focus on it to make out what it is, though.
