  1. Having said any of this the guy is a true gentleman, and you would not wish what happened to his family for your worst enemies. Since this is his WITB lets get back to it, it is an awesome bag and wishing him all the best every single time he tees off.
  2. By not living in a 400k house I meant, it is much more than that.
  3. Believe me or not, but I've met Camilo multiple times and know someone who knows him very well. And let me tell you that he is not living in a 400k house.
  4. @eric61 ^ exactly that. I played the non tour gt1 15 and it was so good other than spin, have the gt1tour on order, but always thought a 5 wood would be so good with that performance. I know there are tour pros gaming gt1 5 and 7 woods so clearly its not too big for them, but I play my 5 wood at 41.25 and when I put my shaft on the gt1 5 wood it just looked massive, as a lefty it's hard to demo one, I am pretty sure I can get over the size if the performance is there. I tried a TSr3 5 wood and liked how versatile it is, but the toe strikes just dipped in spin so much that it was longer than a 3 wood with the high launch low spin flight. Maybe ill pull a trigger and get a gt1 5 and see how it goes.
  5. Thanks for this. I wish it was just a little smaller. Not sure why they didn’t make them progressive in size.
  6. In case anyone cares the new utilities are now 0.370 hosel diameter.
  7. How did you find the GT1 5 wood head size? I believe they are all the same CC size and it just looked a little big for a 5 wood didnt bother you at all?
  8. 7i shaft feels (at least to me) an exact blend of white and black that I like. It's funny how feels are to everyone. I really like S300 but just too heavy, but yet I HATE DG 120 S300. AMT White was good but again found it too heavy, AMT black was actually good but at times felt too whippy. I ordered a 46 vokey with the AMT silver ill see how that goes.
  9. To me red felt like the OG but smoother and livelier tip. Where to me the io feels nothing like the OG. The io (at least to me) is one of the best feeling shafts I’ve had. I can definitely get used to the red.
  10. That is correct Like I said, or if not said, I'm not expecting to be able to show up and play any time I want. If I show up and there aren't any tee times I do not expect myself to be able to go and play. But I do expect myself to be able to play 3-5 times a week in the evening when you specifically ask the course before you pay 8K up front, how many leagues are there and the response is "we have 1 league a week for 2 months". I have already played 115 times this year (times not rounds, some of my rounds are 5 holes and some are 18 and anything in between). I have a ton of connections in town where I can get on quite a few other courses. So I really am fine with the amount of golf that I play, however I have seen this from both sides at my club as a "member" and other clubs as "league player". I know an older gentleman who doesn't have millions, and 8K to him is quite a bit of money and he has gotten into arguments with the course (not the league members, even though it might seem like he is out there to take on league) where he is told 1 thing upon purchasing the membership and receiving a completely different experiences once the 8k left his account. Again he IS NOT EXPECTING to play 7 days a week at night but expects to play it more than 3 and now he can't due these leagues. What goes around comes around, with money being squeezed out of the economy golf will experience a decline eventually, everything runs in cycles and then they will be begging for players like him to join and have that upfront cash flow. My club has a board and again reason they doubled in price is to have more open times for members, but with so many members dropping out they realized they have a lot more open slots in the evenings which was a selling point to some, which is now being filled by leagues. They could be members, but majority are not members, at least the ones that are hosted at my club. These leagues are there to make money as well. They buy out bulk tee times and resell them as "league", at the end of the day it is nothing but a wholesale price.
  11. I just ordered a Vokey 46 with the shaft I was fit for. I want to compare it to my existing PW setup with my current shafts and then decide.
  12. Anyone that was fit into amt silvers and not liking the feel in any other club than a 7i? I keep trying the 7i and the more I hit the more I like the shaft.
  13. I think this is the first win for the gt1 tour
  14. I agree with that and again not complaining about my place, but i can see how some would. Just examples of how it can bring out Karen’s. My club has a board and my club states unlimited play at any time that is available. When someone purchases a membership and asks how many times there is league and are told once a week and 6 months later it’s 4? That’s not ok, they should’ve been told it’s one now but may increase. my place doubled in price for that exact reason to “service” the members better. Literally what they said to make it feel more elite. Bunch of members quit so now afternoon blocks are mostly empty. Good for me I thought but then went to 4 leagues a week. That’s 4 nights I can’t play. What if it goes from 8k to 12 or 16? At some point I will get upset too. What if your private course from some occasional Mondays to every Monday ? And then 2 times a week. nobody knows the OP posts course membership agreement nobody knows anything other than there were a few baboons that went out during league but since there are multiple people that went out to play during league that’s more of a chance that the course is very poorly run and members don’t mean squat after they paid the yearly dues. We don’t know the yearly dues it might be very minimal but might be a lot and might have increased a lot in a small amount of time like mine and now that were close to being clowns became clowns. Not encouraging this behavior by any means but we don’t know anything other than the guy playing league got upset. Just like you or someone said don’t join if you don’t like leagues well same thing can be said. Don’t play league on semi private courses if you don’t want this type of behavior. I’m just stating how it goes both ways. I’ve witnessed numerous scraps at these leagues. So at the end of the day you will have clowns on all sides. And it’s not just golf it’s anything in life. the only problem is that currently there are more people that want to play than courses so courses are getting away with stuff they didn’t 6 years ago.
  15. Smartest thing I’ve heard today. mine is on order with the blue + 7s. Was told the same as the previous poster. August 8 ship date
  16. Again I have no issues with my course or any of this, I was just being devils advocate and know members whom don’t like those leagues, i was just pointing out the other side of this. I play leagues at other courses that are fully private and if their members did that i would fully understand.
  17. It’s only happy for them now where people are paying 100 to play cow pasture courses. As soon as this craze wears off and we hit a recession those same clubs will start begging for members to come back. If leagues don’t like lunatic members to drive around while they are playing same holes then they can get a refund right? Im done talking about this, as i said before I don’t disagree with you or anyone here, but both sides have a point. OP called members clowns, but those clowns pay way more than those leagues will bring and as soon as you have money on the table and everyone believes they paid for a service they should be getting you will have crazies that start complaining about everything.
  18. The biggest issue with “thriver” vs mini driver is that a lot of people find “thrivers” feeling that it is a driver and minis feel like a fairway wood where they try to swing down on minis and up on thrivers. While swinging up is good for distance i find that is the biggest issue with hitting a driver straight.
  19. @Pnwpingi210 @Shilgy i am not disagreeing with you, I am just seeing the other side of this issue and being a member at a “semi private” course where they increased number of leagues that take 3 hours to play 9 holes. my membership states “unlimited play” that’s what they sell it as. I understand why they have leagues and events, no i dont think membership at a semi private gets me a wank after a round, but if a membership says “unlimited golf” some people will take it as unlimited golf, just like unlimited data that telecom providers sell you, there are restrictions and slowing down of data speeds. So nobody should complain about it? A vast majority of people complain about telcos slowing things down after certain amount of data used. I am literally on a vacation right now, and they advertised happy hour during certain times, but when we go there the bar was closed. Airlines overbook, someone whom booked first might get kicked off because someone paid more for that seat, should the first person not complain? Someone will always complain about it. So why should members not complain about some league where they paid for 100-150x more than the league? OP has no idea how many leagues that course has, OP did not say how much the members pay, and their agreement. At the end of the day members paid ahead of time and even if it’s a semi private they should not be treated like scums because they already paid and not brining any more money that given day. And now that you mentioned about my agreement, I just found it in my email and it says, “Some tee times might be blocked to outside events”. So at which point should a member start complaining? 1 event a week? 2? 4? 5? 7? It’s different for every person, someone will always be unhappy, someone from league whom paid to play, a member whom wants to play at exact same time as league. This happened to me. Part of the perks is being able to book 4 weeks in advance, which i did, i had some friends coming to town to visit me. They canceled a tee time because of some guy bought out league for that day. Are we saying i should not complain? Again, i didn;t i went elsewhere I know enough people that work in the golf industry to get a tee time, but just asking.
