  1. Not sure but I doubt if you notice much difference.
  2. 73 year old 8 handicap here so take this with a grain of salt. I tried the shorter driver route before I bought a Mini and the Mini blew it away. When you shorten a driver you need to add weight back to the head which is no biggie but the center of gravity changes which sometimes adds spin. Also it changes the characteristic's of the shaft after cutting. Since I'm older I actually gained distance AND accuracy with the Mini driver. It will not replace my 16.5 fairway wood off the deck. The only way I'd use my 11.5 Mini off the ground would be if I had a really great fluffy lie.
  3. The glass is always half full right T?🤣
  4. Thought maybe it was Danville illinois. Close enough we could play some golf. No one wants to move to illinois though.
  5. We're brothers from different mother's my man!😂
  6. Ping seems to be a love or hate brand but the G440's are as point and shoot as it gets in my opinion.
  7. A guy like me who has the attention span of a gnat makes listening to golf a lot more fun and less aggravating. 😂
  8. With only 27 holes as a sample I can say I'm 100% sure there will not be a driver in my bag. The Callaway Elyte Mini is longer and straighter than my drivers. My Taylormade Sim is cut down to 43 1/2" and then I put weight back on the head to bring it to D0 which is where I like it. I'm 73 years old with a 75-80mph SS and the Mini is a rocket for me. Played 9 today and hit every fairway and had a long drive of 232 on a hole where the fairway is uphill all the way to the green. Far from WRX standards but for this old fart I'll take that all day!
  9. Picked up the callaway elyte 11.5 and I'm impressed. Sound and feel are spectacular and it hangs right there with TSR4 driver. More testing to do but the driver may have to go away.
  10. Shot a 37 tonight in league on our back 9 with my 440's. I haven't shot a 37 on the back one time ever. Had some 38's and 39's but no 37's. Hitting irons pin high all night. It was a feeling I'm not familiar with.😅
  11. At 73 years old I thought about going retro but I have no issue getting the 5 iron elevated with the standard lofts.
  12. I don't normally crap on networks and announcers (except Curtis Strange) too much because I know doing golf coverage is tough but, NBC could do a lot to improve their coverage to say the least. They aren't even on the same planet as Sky sports.
  13. I was listening to Butch Harmon talking on Gravy and the Sleeze this morning and he said Scottie is more like Nicklaus than Tiger because of the way he thinks his way around a golf course. He said no one has ever done that better than Jack but Scottie is close.
  14. I've had mine for two weeks now and I absolutely love them. I added the 52 and 56 and they are golden. I've had the G2,G5,G15,G25, and G410's. For me the 440's are the cream of the crop. Just got done shooting a 37 on the back 9 of a course where my best previous score was a 41. I'm keeping them.
  15. It says more about social media and us as a society than it does Scottie. Once someone achieves a high level of success we need to nit pick them to pieces to try to tear them back down.
  16. He actually just turned 29 but I get it. No one can predict what he's going to do but for the last few years he's the best golfer on the planet and it ain't even close. Everyone that knows him says he's a fun dude to be around and a great husband and father. I hope he continues playing his boring golf and being who he is.
