There's a case there you'd rather be Phil or Tiger than Scottie...no way are they going to play that approach that conservatively there, obviously he has no idea Li is in trouble on 18 but he knows Fitz is here, you have to go for that.
I think that was basically a forgone conclusion after yesterday. At some stage though he is going to blow a 5-6 stroke lead on a Sunday, even Jack and Tiger did it
Scottie botching the easiest holes is why I think a big lead for him going into tomorrow is worse than like a 3 stroke lead. He seems to play better the more he's pushed
That hole he should have, 11 was not as bad as where he ended up on the approach but had no right making a par there. I think he should have actually just layed up on his 2nd and instead he did more of a layoach vs a layup
As I said, it was not as bad as you'd think because the hole was so far to the other side of the green, its significantly more difficult if the hole is say right there near where he went into the rough
as bad as that was by Scottie the pin is at least on the far side of the green so unless he sends this to the moon or comes under it and basically misses I think he can leave himself within 10 to save par anyway
12 is playing so stupidly easy. I think Fitz and Scottie can end this if both drop 3s there and play well the final 7 as far as ensuring its a 2 man race.
This continues to track well so far, he'll be E through 5 now. Just probably indicates the player is not doing they're best. I think he's still capable though of turning it around and finishing 67-68, but a 63-64-65 is now probably unlikely
