  1. We've had some really awesome majors as of late, with 3-5 people battling for the win down the stretch. Mens and Womens tours. So I've realized that is what I enjoy watching. Watching anyone win by 5-7 shots isn't must watch golf for me. Maybe if it was some wild and crazy Jordan Spieth style show where the winner was on edge of making a double or an eagle, with wild saves and up and downs. But Scotty winning by 5+ strokes? It's basically 4+ hours of the equivalent of a comedy show of sensible chuckles. I also think too that Scotty's need to tell us how none of this seems to mean anything to him anymore. This is basically just a job, the feeling goes away minutes after hoisting the trophy, ho hum, can't wait to get back to my house and day-to-day routine. So I guess it is ok if my feeling is "ho hum, it's just another tourney with Scotty winning, I guess I'll watch some YouTube instead."
  2. Yellow for me, easiest by far. Some of the bright orange balls are pretty easy too, like the Srixon Soft Feels. But I find matte orange a little more difficult. I tried some bright pink Trust balls, and I really struggled to find them. I also had some short pink tees, and it was so difficult to find them after teeing off, and they flung 5-10' away. Thought I was going crazy.
  3. I dig him. He's very emotional on course, but then appears to be an absolute sweetheart after rounds. All of his post round interviews are super calm and funny. And he seems to have a great sense of humor about his antics.
  4. From the 2009 catalog showing the tungsten bar that is forged in:
  5. I was in Hawaii for work all week and came home to a DHL delivery from Japan. Tourstage X-Blade 901. So pretty.
  6. My man! Thank you. Just found it on Peacock.
  7. I tuned in to finally watch The Open, after travelling for work all week with limited wifi. Turned it on, sat thru three minutes of commercials, then five minutes of golf, then three minutes of commercials. What a racket.
  8. I’ve tried all three of the types of discs it came with. One for cutting tile, a diamond one for something special, and the regular thin one for cutting metal. They all work but the metal one is cleanest and easiest. But once it wears down half way, it becomes harder to cut the butt end of the shaft, as the shaft will start to come in contact with body of the grinder. But changing to a new disc is easy. I should also note I probably cut over 200 shafts before I had to change the disc.
  9. I use a little 18v Ryobi saw with a 3” cutting disc for all shaft cutting now. I run a wrap of blue tape, mark it and cut it. Took me longer to type this than to make a clean cut. i use to have a chop saw but it took longer to setup on the bench than cutting 6-7 shafts takes. this little guy:
  10. It is very common for the YT guys to mention that only 50% of viewers are subscribers. Peter Finch mentions it a lot and they discuss it some in his podcast.
  11. And if you are interested, Matt Fryer has done a bunch of vids with Marco Penge over the past year or two, with their tie-in with Mizuno. Seems like a really cool dude.
  12. Everytime I see a shot of Penge hitting a ball from a behind-the-person camera, I keep thinking it is Nieman. Might be the black Addidas shoes and slim build.
  13. I’ve played the before in white, and liked them just fine. Very similar performance to Duo Soft, Wilson 50, Noodle etc. This is what $43 dollars delivered looks like. $8 of that in shipping, and probably $30 in packaging. Balls were probably the cheapest part of this order. Bummer you can’t just buy large quantities of new balls in a cheap bag. So much cardboard packaging waste.
  14. Great finish! What a final three holes for her.
  15. And the shipping price was a flat $7.95 no matter how many boxes I added to the cart. So my six dozen balls was less than $44. They should be arriving today according to USPS tracking.
  16. I've played just about every brand of soft compression 2-piece ball, and generally like them all. I mostly play a shorter Par 3 course using soft JDM forged irons, and the soft on soft feel is awesome. I'm a high launch and high spin player, so I actually like having a lower spin ball. Last time I played some Pro V1 I would land pin high and watch it spin back off the front edge 20'. Another one to try is the Spalding Pure Spin. 50 compression, and they seem to last forever. They happen to be super cheap right now. I just ordered 6 boxes of the yellow ones. https://maplehillgolf.com/spalding-pure-spin-golf-balls/?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21822025612&gbraid=0AAAAADPXRSSydUgo8aPGrPsYMNFlsf9G_&gclid=CjwKCAjw7MLDBhAuEiwAIeXGIayggImnSJz_1diiMrYcNMUKouVk0gQZCg8tR6ZR-T2BhYmZlOpcLhoC01MQAvD_BwE
